Simon Says: Anything Goes!

Hello crafty friends, it's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and a surprise!

This week Simon Says: Anything Goes and we are featuring Studio Light products  - it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them! Come join the fun for the chance to win a $25.00 card to the Simon Says Stamp Store!

Fall is eternally my favourite season and I do love making a fall themed card. I took my Studio Light paper and cut it to A2 size and added some gold and white splatters and set it aside to dry.  I then die cut my leaves and ink blended them using Distress Inks. I also added gold paint splatter to the leaves.

While the leaves dried, I stamped and embossed my sentiment from Pink Fresh  and used the accompanying die. I set lined my leaves on the panel and used some press and seal to get the grouping I planned. I then glued the leaves to the panel and added my sentiment using foam tape. To finish off, my favourite Champagne Clear Drops!

I, once again, picked a sentiment from my favourite new Simon Says Stamp and CZ Design sentiment stamp and die set and used Gold Tinsel embossing powder. I added my sentiment to the panel using foam tape. To finish off, Clear Champagne Drops by Pink Fresh Studio.

Simon Says: Get Ready for Christmas!

Hello crafty friends, it's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and a surprise!

I have always loved Christmas Crackers, they are a big tradition for us on my side of the family so I needed this die set in my life! I started by die cutting my elements and planned my layout. I felt the background needed something so I picked this beautiful embossing folder that I received after Christmas last year that I have never used. I embossed my panel and then glued my elements to the base.

For my sentiment, I picked one from my new CZ Design Making Spirits Bright stamps and dies.

For those of you that watch Murders in the Building, this is my version of the Christmas at the Arconia! Lol. This was fun to put together and adding some pets and extra Christmas decorations. I am gearing up for Christmas, clearly. This has been an exhausting year so why not enjoy the happiest time of the year earlier!

Glued the bulk of the pieces using glue and took three out to add using foam tape to highlight them, and added them to the panel. I die cut my friend die and glued it to the panel also using glue.

I embossed the secondary sentiment, also by Pink & Main and glued that using foam tape. To finish off some pearls by Pink Fresh!

I love this stencil by Gina K., layering stencils are the best but this one is so fun. I started with a piece of Soft Navy card stock and used my Distress Oxide inks and ink blended the first two and then added dimensional paste to the third layer. I sprinkled glitter over the paste for some shine.

I ink blended some Faded Jeans Distress Ink to the corners for depth. Once all was dry, I stamped and die cut my CZ Design sentiment and added it using foam tape. then to finish off, some snowflakes and hearts from my stash!

Simon Says: Add A Number!

Hello crafty friends, it's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and a surprise!

This week Simon Says: Add A Number and we are featuring CZ Design products - it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them! Come join the fun for the chance to win a $25.00 card to the Simon Says Stamp Store!

I am obsessed with the new CZ Design Making Spirits Bright Clear Stamps and Die set for the holidays. The size of them is so fun and the set has accompanying dies, which is fantastic.  I decided to make a mitten card using the Simon Says Stamp Mitten Gift Card Holder, the size of the die makes a good sized card (can also be made into a fantastic gift card).

I cut two pieces of card stock glued them together at the top to make the card base and one piece of off white felt and glued it to the top panel. I die cut a piece of grey felt for the top of the mitten.

I stamped and embossed my main sentiment on Firestone Red Card Stock then die cut it. I also die cut the snowflakes from the mitten die set and glued them to my card. I used some Avery Elle numbers from my stash for my 25 and a wooden heart. To finish off, some red twine for the top!

Simon Says: Layer It Up/Use Ephemera

Hello crafty friends, it's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and a surprise!

This week Simon Says: Layer It Up/Use Ephemera and we are featuring always amazing Tim Holtz products - it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them! Come join the fun for the chance to win a $25.00 card to the Simon Says Stamp Store!

I was inspired to start an art journal over my summer vacation and I find it so relaxing and completely different from my card making style. I am exploring different mediums and designs, which I am enjoying immensely. I started by using my Dylusions spray on the background once dried I ink blended some Speckled Egg Oxide Ink. I then stamped my text in the top right and bottom left corners. I used my stencil and added Texture Paste and let that dry.

I put my ephemera together and glued the top parts together and glued it as one piece using foam tape to the page. To finish off, some black splatters!
