Pink and Main Easter

Happy Monday Crafty Friends! 1st day of April, the weather is starting to look up! I am sharing an Easter card today featuring these absolutely gorgeous, whimsical Pink and Main stamps!

I simply fell in love with this stamp set when I saw it in the Simon Says Stamp Store it's called Sketched Easter. I debated doing some no-line colouring but the detail is so beautiful on these stamps that I decided on Copic coloring and stamping them in black to show the complete detail.

I used my Misti to be able to double stamp if necessary (and it was) and coloured my images (colors listed below). I wanted to use as many images from this set as possible. Once that was complete and the images were die cut, I added some black and white gel pen detail.

I wanted a simple background so that the images would be the "stars" so I chose the largest Honey Bee Stamp polka dot stencil and used a light hand with my Shaded Lilac Distress Ink. I then placed all of my images with a mix of foam tape and glue onto the card base.

To finish off, I used the new Tonic pearl Nuvo drops (these are gorgeous people) in the lilac color.

Simon Says: Anything Goes featuring Wild Rose Studio

It's Wednesday crafty friends and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

I chose the sweet Penguin with Heart stamp set by Wild Rose for my card today. I just love the illustration of their stamps and this guy is no exception!  The stamp itself has a heart balloon but I really wanted to use the Pretty Pink Posh Winter Sparkle shaker mix and it ended up being my color inspiration for this card. A mix of iridescent sequins in blues and purples with some snowflakes, it really is a beautiful mix. So I picked a Lawn Fawn outside in Stitched Heart die for my shaker window that acted as the balloon.

I stamped my penguin on a piece of Neena 80lbs card panel using my Misti and re-stamped on masking paper so that I could do my background ink blending.  After he was masked, I added a piece of PostIt tape to the bottom and blended some Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac Distress inks with a light hand. The colors were chosen based on the sequin mix but I do love non-traditional colors for the holidays.

I added some water with my distress sprayer for the droplets. While that dried I die cut the insert heart and used the same ink colors.  I went back and coloured in my penguin once that was done, I die cut the heart "balloon".

I added a few embossed snowflakes around the background and added some White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter drops to the centres.

Once that was all dry, I addd my snow marker to the bottom and dried it to "puff" it up with my heat tool and embossed my sentiment on the heart.  I added my sequins to the centre of the heart and put the top panel on the base using 3m Foam tape so the sequins could shake.

To finish off the card, I added bells and twine from my stash to the ballon base.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Stencil it Featuring SSS products!

Happy Wednesday crafty friends and that means a new challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge! 

This week, we are featuring Simon Says Stamp Products and Stencils!

This little one from the Simon Says Stamp Flowers and Showers set was a must for me to use. I love her (I added lashes so she is a her lol).

I stamped my image on my Neena 80lbs panel and colored with my Copic Markers. Once that was done, I added some grey shading to the bottom of the puddle. I then pulled out my rain drops stencil with some Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink and went over the white on the panel being carful not to ruin my image.

I then trimmed down my panel because I decided on a colored card base (for once) in a complementary color to the shaded lilac. Before placing my panel on the card base, I added the Avery Elle Hugs and Kisses sentiment and the Simon Says Stamp Sending die.

I decided I needed a few hearts so I stamped those as well and I felt the Lavender card base was a little plain so I used an Altenew Stencil again with the Shaded Lilac to give a little punch in the background. Once everything was put together I added some white dot detail and Nuvo Crystal Glaze.
