Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #13 - Fall Inspirational Board

Hope you are all having a happy Wednesday! Last day of a heat wave here in Montreal, I love this on-going summer though!

I made this project for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #13 - Fall Inspirational Board :)

As much as I love this late summer weather, fall is my favourite season. There is something about the air and colors in fall that make me happy :)

The Lawn Fawn Paper from Perfectly Plaid Fall 6x6 pack was my inspiration for this project. I die cut it and the wood grain card stock from the largest Stitched Rectangle die. I love the pairing of these two papers. I then die cut my Stitched Leaves in orange, yellow, green and light brown card stock and added some various Distress Inks to add dimension.

I then picked my sentiment from the Jump for Joy set and white embossed it on the top panel. I placed my leaves and felt that a little something to top them off would be ideal so I picked the acorn from the Into the Woods set and used my Copic Sketch markers to color him in.

Once all of my elements were placed on the card, I added a mix of Nuvo drops and Sparkling Clear Sequins to finish off the project.

Thanks so much for taking the time and if this mood board inspires you go check-out the challenge :)

Lawn Fawn - Jump for Joy it's almost fall!

I don't know if any of you feel this way at the end of summer, but finding my card mojo seems to be difficult!!! I got my new Lawn Fawn products over the last few weeks and took the long weekend to try and find my crafting mojo!

Fall is my favourite season and this new collection suits me just fine!!!

Felt good to get back into my studio and get my hands dirty with some Distress Inks! :) I used the new Jump for Joy stamps and dies as well as the Leafy Tree Backdrop (portrait).  I die cut one panel from the 6x6 perfectly plaid paper and a second from watercolour cardstock. I applied a mix of brown Distress inks to the tree then sprayed some water for the splotches, I then re-applied a bit more Distress Ink to give it more depth. I did the same for the sky background (blue inks) and the "grass" hill. I glued my tree onto the full plaid Leafy Tree.  I stamped my critters and leaves on Neena 80lbs and coloured them with Copics. Put the card together and decided to make a shaker out of it with a mix of sequins!

Thanks for taking the time!
