Penny Black Scented Beauty

I am on a Zig Clean Color Brush Marker binge lately!! Along with that, I am so obsessed with Penny Black flowers probably because it is finally feeling like summer :)

I am trying to practice no-line watercoloring... I usually just use my Zigs without water because they blend like a dream but I am trying to push myself to do other techniques!  I always use Strathmore Bristol paper with my Zigs, I just find it the best with those markers.  I die cut my panel (Avery Elle Wonky Stitched die) and used my Misti to place the Slapstick Cling stamp at the angle I wanted. I used Antique Linen Distress ink and stamped it twice to see the definition of the roses better.

This card is for my favourite aunt who is battling dementia her birthday is soon and she loves getting my cards in the mail, so this one is extra special to me. She is French Canadian so the sentiment is by a Quebec stamp company called Limecitron.

Thanks for taking the time!

Penny Black Fresh with Zig Clean Color Brush Pens

Here is a card using Penny Black's Fresh cling stamp and my Zig Clean Color Brush Pens.

I die cut my panel from Strathmore Bristol Cardstock, it is my favourite to use with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  The stamp is Penny Black's Fresh Slapstick Cling with Versamark and White embossing powder. I used two shades of Pink, Orange and Red for each flower and my water brush to smooth everything out.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts stamped in Versafine Black Onyx ink and finished it off with Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins!

Thanks for taking the time!

Easter!

Happy Easter! I can't believe it is already time for Easter, maybe it's earlier than usual... I simply fell in love with this Penny Black Elegance slapstick cling Calla Lilly. I figured my parents' Easter Card should be made from a stamp called elegance!

I die cut my rectangle (Wonky Stitched Frame die by Avery Elle) from Bristol paper because I wanted to use my Zig Clean Brush Pens. I stamped the Calla with my Misti stamp tool for the angle, I then used some light grey Zig pens to define the white of the Calla Lily with my water pen. Added a little yellow in the centres and brown in the middle. I then coloured the stems and leaves and used a light mint green for the surround of the bouquet. The sentiment is an older one and I am not sure what company. I finished it off with a mix of Pretty Pink Posh sequins and Martha Stewart yellow flat hearts.

Thanks for taking the time!

Fabulous Flowers!

I have always loved Hero Arts Flowers! The new release includes so many beautiful flowers. I am loving the Antique Rose Stem woodblock stamp. What is it with a good woodblock stamp? Not many companies making these anymore and they are still my favourites. This card is for a special friends birthday and I am submitting it to the current Hero Arts Challenge - Fabulous Flowers.

Products:

Hero Arts Antique Rose Stem - I stamped it with Antique Linen Distress Ink making it a faint outline on Stratford Bristol Paper so that I could use my Zig Clean Color Brush Pens. I have always struggled with watercolour and I have purchased almost every watercolour product out there! When I first tried the Zig pens  I completely fell in love especially when used with Bristol Paper.  For the flower I used 028, 200 and 202, once I began the faint Antique Linen Distress slowly disappeared making it possible for me to create my own flower centre which at first stressed me out lol! But I like the way it turned out.  For the leaves I used 041, 044 and 048 (Greens). I used my water brush to smooth everything out. I then used the Happy (Mama Elephant) and die cut the original panel and four others in black cardstock to make the white pop. The Birthday sentiment which I white embossed is from Hero Arts It's Your Day. PPP sequins and some white dots with my gell pen to finish it off!

Thanks for taking the time!

Bird Crazy Valentine!

This set by Tim Holtz has to be my most used stamp set especially with the accompanying Crazy Things accessories stamp set! Starting on my Valentine's cards and I had to reach for the Bird Crazy set again!

I used my Zig Clean Color Brush pens on all the stamps with Strathmore Bristol paper.
The Embossing folder is from Lifestyle Crafts and a Tim Holtz cut-out embossing buddy which gave the "non-embossed" oval effect in the centre. The sentiment is from Avery Elle's Hogs and Kisses. I topped it off with Pretty Pink Posh sequins!

Thanks for taking the time happy Saturday!

Mama Elephant's 3 Birthday!

Mama Elephant is one of my favourite stamp companies and it's their 3rd Birthday! In honour of this, the Mama Elephant Flickr Challenge this month is... yes, a birthday theme! I love the Freestyle Florals and I can never have enough Birthday themed cards so I opted to use that stamp set.

I used my Zig Clean Color Brush Pens (my new obsession) on the Freestyle Florals. The sentiment is from Woodland Gifts.  A Lifestyle Crafts embossing folder and the Stitched Oval and Rectangle are Lawn Fawn.  Finished it off with PPP sequins.

Thanks so much for taking the time!
