Simon Valentine!

I am just in love with the Simon and Dexter stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp! Playing on a quiet Sunday in my office/craftroom and my Monday and Tuesday trip to Quebec City has been cancelled! Very happy about this, therefore no need to run crazy errands and pack!

This card will go to my husband from our pets on Valentine's Day!

Just for fun!

Happy Monday, here is a project that is different from my usual style.  I was having fun with my Dylusions sprays, I hadn't taken them out in a while.  I have always loved the quality and depth of the pigment.

The background is much more funky then I am used to! But I am happy with the way it turned out. The Daisy dies are from MFT  - Die-namics with a little Distress inks to give a bit of shadow, both the border stamp and sentiment are from Mama Elephant. I used Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock then topped everything off with sequins!

Thanks for taking the time!

Bird Crazy Valentine!

This set by Tim Holtz has to be my most used stamp set especially with the accompanying Crazy Things accessories stamp set! Starting on my Valentine's cards and I had to reach for the Bird Crazy set again!

I used my Zig Clean Color Brush pens on all the stamps with Strathmore Bristol paper.
The Embossing folder is from Lifestyle Crafts and a Tim Holtz cut-out embossing buddy which gave the "non-embossed" oval effect in the centre. The sentiment is from Avery Elle's Hogs and Kisses. I topped it off with Pretty Pink Posh sequins!

Thanks for taking the time happy Saturday!

Avery Elle Moove Me!

Getting a head start on my Valentine's Day Cards! Here is one using the new Avery Elle Hogs and Kisses stamps and dies (Hogs and Kisses Ellements)

I just love the cute animals in this set! I started with a die cut Neena (80 lbs) panel using the Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Frame (largest). Partially die cut the half circle from a stitched circle die. I then stamped and Copic coloured the sweet cow :). I die cut the image but fussy cut the bottom to make is look like a floating image. I used my favourite Hero Arts background stamp - Tiny Stars with SSS Fog ink. Put the top panel on using foam tape added a scattering of sequins and die cut hearts!

Thanks for taking the time!

Winter!

Well, winter it is... My last day off from the Christmas holidays, I had a wonderful break with family friends and my dogs! The appropriate theme at AEIheartU is winter and I have locked myself in because of the - temperatures outside! Enjoying my studio before 2016 really starts for me tomorrow.

I started with Neena Solar White and I die cut my panel using the larger Avery Elle Wonky Stitches Elle-ments die. I then masked off the right side and blended Lavender and a Light Turquoise ink. I then embossed snowflakes with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I used Copics to colour my images from the Avery Elle Polar Pals, I then used glossy accents on the ice. Topped it off with sequins and a lavender card base. This card will be perfect for one of my nieces who has a winter birthday!

Here is a shot of my Duffy from this morning, both my dogs will have a hard time tomorrow! Back to reality for us all! He looks like he knows in this pic!

Thanks so much for taking the time!

Runway Inspired Challenge - Gucci!

Snow Day! First storm to hit Montreal this winter and thankfully we are on vacation! Dogs are happy we played outside and will go back this afternoon. I am just happy that I can run to my office/studio to play! I haven't submitted to the Runway Inspired Challenge in a while thought this was the perfect day! Gucci is the inspiration for the challenge and my starting point was the text on the outfit, I embossed the background panel with a Cuttlebug folder.  I figured a New Years card would be fun to give my aesthetician that I see tomorrow as opposed to a too late Christmas card! Lol. By looking at the outfit, the silver shoes just spoke to me so I die cut the champagne flutes and one of the snowflakes out of silver glitter paper I then knew I had to add red and green elements for the dress and hat!

Thanks so much for taking the time and Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas!

Just a quick post to wish you all a very Merry Christmas with loved ones! Here is a last minute post, name plates for our group tonight. Made eight quickly enough, the My Favorite Things Elves are by far one of my 2015 fav's!

We are experiencing a strange weather pattern for December here in Montreal, 14 celsius! Can't say that I miss the snow or the cold...

Happy Christmas!
