Lots of Love

Happy cold, cold Friday from MontrĂ©al! This has been a particularly strange winter, major storms mixed with super freezing temps and then a one day break with a massive rainfall... We, apparently, have not seen a weather pattern like this in one hundred years!  So, happy hearts today with Lawn Fawn for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge to cheer myself up!

The cute little Skunk was my starting point because I wanted to have him holding a bouquet of flowers :)  I stamped and coloured him in with my Copics and used the accompanying die. I also die cut all of my flowers at the same time.

I put my bouquet together and added some Pretty Pink Posh Jewels to the centres and glued the bouquet to my skunk.

I decided to use my Outside In Stitched Scallop dies and die cut them from Ballet Slippers and one of the smaller ones from Neena.  I then used the Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Die on the inside white panel.

I ink blended some Picked Raspberry Distress Ink on both the frame and the inside panel. I then die cut my sentiment and two hearts from Simon Says Stamp glitter paper and the rest of the hearts from some Tim Holtz Metallic paper and Ballet Slippers (ink blended the Picked raspberry once again).

I white embossed my sentiment on Black Licorice cardstock and die cut it with a banner die.

Lawn Fawnatics - Happy Little Critters!

Happy Friday crafty friends! I haven't participated in a challenge in a while, so I decided I absolutely needed to play along with the Happy Little Critters Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! I mean, who doesn't love a Critter challenge!

I had such fun making this winter birthday scene! I chose the Sweet Critter Concert set because I love it and I have not had the chance to ink it up yet, eek! I stamped all of the Critter images and accessories on a piece of Neena 80lbs cardstock and colored them in with a series of Copic Sketch markers.  I used the accompanying dies and set them aside to work on my background.

I took a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock cut to A2 size and Ink blended Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet Distress Ink on the panel once that was complete I took my favourite Simon Says Stamp Star background stencil and I wanted gold embossing paste by alas, mine had dried out. So I took my clear glitter embossing paste and added some Distress Paint to it to make my own, I am super happy with the result.

I put that aside to dry and die cut my Birch Trees from the Lawn Fawn White Woodgrain cardstock and added some Hickory Smoke Distress Ink to give shading and dimension. I also die cut a piece of the Lawn Fawn glitter paper with the largest Stitched Rectangle Die (as was the background panel) and die cut either side with the opposing Stitched Hillside Border dies.

Once my background had dried I embossed my sentiment on the background panel and glued my trees. I added my "snow banks" and finally placed my critters on the panel. To finish off, I added my music notes to the scene! Go check out the fun challenge!

Lawn Fawn Critters!

Happy hump day crafty friends! This is another project that I completed during World Card Making Day (well weekend really, lol).

I am submitting this one to the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge - Critters. Seriously, who doesn't love Lawn Fawn critters?

I am seriously obsessed with otters, I keep telling my husband that we need a pet otter! I had to have all the otter sets including the exclusive collaboration from Simon Says Stamp!  I started with the largest Lawn Fawn frame die and cut it from one piece of Neena Solar White and three pieces of watercolor paper. I stamped my snow flakes from multiple Lawn Fawn sets on the Neena along with the sentiment from Winter Otter in Simon Says Stamp clear ink and embossed in both white (snowflakes) and silver (sentiment). I then added a mix of Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks with a light hand.

For my waves, I used the watercolour paper and a mix of Distress Inks for added texture.  I then stamped my otters and other images with the Lawn Fawn Jet Black Copic friendly ink and coloured my images. I used the coordinating die cuts and then put my card together and finished with some white gelyroller detail and Star Dust Stickles. I added all three framed to even out with the waves.

Thanks so much for taking the time! Go check out the challenge!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge - Create a Scene!

I love scene building, there is something so soothing about sitting down and just designing and creating an elaborate project! This card is for the new Challenge over at Lawn Fawnatics - Create a Scene!

I created a card base that would accommodate a business size envelope and it will also be great for a Christmas card to act as a money gift card. I decided to size it this way because I wanted to use ALL the penguins from Lawn Fawn lol! There are still sets of penguins not represented on this project.

I started with a piece of Bristol paper for my background and stamped the snow from the Snow Cool set and white embossed it. I then used Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Distress Inks on the background.

I stamped all of my images on Neena Solar White from Here we go a-waddling, Winter Penguin and I stamped the bench from Winter in the Park directly on the base panel.  I colored my images with Copics and then added some glitter to act as snow on some of the hats and the top of the lampposts.

I die cut my snow using Lawn Fawn Stitched Border dies I put my card together and decided that the lampposts needed a little something so I used the bow die from the new Mini Wreath set and glued them on. I then added some of the great accessory music notes and bubble from the Here we go a-waddling set and a sentiment from that same set white embossed on Lawn Fawn black card stock.

I colored the shadow on the snow with some Cool Grey Copic markers and some sequins to finish off my card.

Thanks so much for taking the time!

Lawnfawnatics Challenge #4

Happy Thursday! I have been so busy at the office, many changes have increased my workload and unfortunately I have been a little absent from my crafty time!

I had time to play to unwind and I made this card to enter into the Lawnfawnatics Challenge #4 - Black/White and Bright.

For brights I thought what better then the Fab Flowers stamps and dies by Lawn Fawn! I started by stamping those with some bright die inks then pulled out my favourite black and white stripped pattern paper.  I then decided to die cut a half circle and lay my flowers around the side.

I white heat embossed my sentiment on Lawn Fawn Black card stock and added some of the pattern paper and some pink as well.  Finished it off with some Pretty Pink Posh clear drops and some Nuvo Drops in the centre of the flowers.

Thanks so much for taking the time!
