Have a Happy Day!

Happy Friday crafty friends! Sharing a quick card today featuring my favourite set from Lawn Fawn's last release - Butterfly Kisses.

I couldn't wait to ink this set, I have had it since the release date but have not had to chance to play! I decided that I wanted to try no-line colouring with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers on these sweet critters.

I used my Distress Ink in Old paper to stamp all of my images on some Bristol cardstock and colored my images.  I used the accompanying dies and added some black and white gel pen detail.

I took my MFT Mini Cloud Stencil and Grassy Borders Stencil with Shaded Lilac for the clouds and a mix of Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover Distress Inks for the grass. Once that was dry, I die cut my panel using my Honey Bee A2 Stitched Rectangle die and glued the frame flat to the card base and I used foam tap for the middle panel.

I felt the grass needed some more elements so I die cut the blades of grass from Lawn Fawn Cilantro cardstock and added some Copic accents. I glued them behind the critters. To finish off, I added some clay flowers from my stash!

Thanks so much for taking the time!

Toad-ally Awesome Friend

Happy Hump Day! Gorgeous sunny day today in Montreal, spring is finally starting to make an appearance! Today I am sharing this Toad-Ally Awesome My Favorite Things project :)

The new Toad-ally Awesome stamp set is such fun! I picked it up last week and had to play with it right away.  I started by coloring my toad with some G2 Copic family of markers and added some dot detail with my darkest G29 and some white Gellyroll pen.  He was such fun to color! I then used the coordinating die for the toad.

I wanted a fun little scene for the toad to be the star of the show so cut my Neena 80 lbs card base to 4 x 5.25 and used the MFT Stencil Cloud with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink. I then opted for the MFT End of the Rainbow Die-Namics die set. I die cut the rainbow die from multiple MFT and Lawn Fawn card stocks

I glued the rainbow to the card base and die cut the accompanying cloud die as well as the stand alone stitched cloud dies (also by MFT) from another panel of Neena 80lbs. I glued them to the base and placed my toad with some foam tape for added dimension (I regretted not using an action wobbler for the toad, I may still change that).

Once my scene was complete, I felt I needed a bigger sentiment so I stamped and embossed a portion of the sentiment on black card stock and the end of the sentiment (friend) on the bottom of the cloud. I substituted the awesome on the stamped sentiment with he Neat and Tangled Awesome die.

Once I was happy with my placement, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Jewels and some Studio Katia Iridescent Bubbles and the eyelash googly eyes on the toad (really makes it look like he is staring at you, lol!)

Thanks for taking the time!

Pretty Pink Posh Hummingbirds

Happy Wednesday crafty friends! Like many of you, I have been so anxious to get my hands on the Pretty Pink Posh Hummingbirds stamp and die set! I had such fun with these, I am in serious need of spring inspiration and they sure did that for me!

I wasn't sure about my background (the heart cover plate die is by Hero Arts from last year and the cloud stencil is by MFT) at first so I added a vellum overlay to soften the hearts and cloud mix.  I stamped my birds with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink to use my Copic markers in a mix of pastels in the BG, BV, R and Y families. I added some dot detail with the darkest Copic of that color family and some black gel pen on the eyes for definition.

I then die cut some MFT stitched clouds from both vellum and Neena 80lbs card stock and also die cut the Hero Arts Wonderful (Stamp and Cut set) from Tonic glitter card stock and a StickIt and fun foam sandwich for added dimension (I like to die cut my glitter and fun foam separately to make sure I get the best cut from my glitter paper).

I put all of my elements on the card base, once I was happy with the placement I added two white embossed sentiments from black card stock (also from the Hero Arts Stamp and Cut set) on the top and bottom of the wonderful.

I finished the project with a rainbow assortment of sequins by Studio Katia and gold die cut hearts from the CAS-ual Fridays Fun-Fetti. Most of the products used were purchased at the Butterfly Reflections Ink on-line shop.

Thanks for taking the time!

Happy Hippos!

Happy Sunday crafty friends! So nice to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink. blog with you for today :)

My project today features MFT products that can be all be found in the Butterfly Reflections Ink. shop!

But I mean, look at those hippos! I just fell in love with them! This is the Happy Hippos stamp set by MFT colored with my Copic Sketch markers - I wanted a really whimsical card and what better than flying Hippos, Lol. For the background "colored" clouds I used the fantastic Cloud Stencil by MFT, I love this stencil! Instead of a typical blue I decided to go with Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed to match my Copic accent colors.

For the "white" clouds I used the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud borders. I put my elements together and added my favorite Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins. I finished off by adding a little grey Copic marker under my bottom elements to ground them.

For those of you interested in any of these products go on over to the shop, if any items are not in stock simply select the Notify Me option. Vanessa rocks at re-stocking quickly.

Thanks for taking the time!

You're so Tweet!

Happy Tuesday crafty friends! This is my last week of a wonderful four-week vacation, boo. Although I am ready to put the flip flops to the weekends and get back to reality!

I finally got my hands on this older Clearly Besotted stamp set - Some Birdie Loves You! It was backordered for so long!

I am just in-love with these birds! The illustration of the stamps is, in my opinion, the sweetest! I used my Copic Sketch and looked up love birds on google to get the right coloration. I then fussy cut my images. For the background I used my favourite MFT could stencil, this is a must-have in my craft room! The foliage is an older Memory Box die as is the rainbow.

Once my card was put together with these elements, I stamped the music notes from the Some Birdie Loves You set and white embossed the sentiment (same set) on a Lawn Fawn banner.

I finished my project off with Pretty Pink Posh clear droplets!

Thanks so much for taking the time!
