Yeti New Year!

Happy New Year crafty friends! I can't believe it is 2018! I am looking forward to the New Year and I am pleased to be with you today sharing this Yeti New Year card! All of the products used are available at the Butterfly Reflections Ink. shop.

I ordered this fantastic Yeti Fun set by Craftin Dessert Divas late in the season and I so wanted to use it! This set can also be used for winter themed cards which, is fun. I decided to use the "snow angel" Yeti because he is just too cute!

I colored him with my Copic markers using the BV family for the illusion of snow. I then used a mix of sentiments from the Hero Arts Wonderful Stamp and Cut and the Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy add-on (New Year). I then wanted New Years Fireworks so I looked to the Lawn Cuts Stitched Fireworks dies for the background. To add some sparkle, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Wisteria Blosson sequins mix

I then added one of the sentiments from the Yeti Fun set on the inside to finish off the card. I hope you all have a wonderful 2018!

MFT Happy Pawlidays for Butterfly Reflections!

Happy Saturday crafty friends! So happy to be with you today on the Butterfly Reflections Ink. Blog! I am deep into my holiday cards so I am sharing a fun one with you today featuring MFT products that can be found in the Butterfly Reflections Ink. Shop :)

My inspiration for the project was the puppy from the new MFT Happy Pawlidays set and I colored the pup like my little BFF Duffy :) I then went through my MFT stash and decided to use the accessories (carpet and pillows) from the MFT Merry Christmoose stamp set.  I stamped the accessories on Kraft card stock and colored them with my Copic Sketch markers. I then decided to opt for a Kraft background.

For the background I decided that I wanted a wallpaper effect so I used the Lawn Fawn Argyle Background stamp with some Judikins sticky embossing powder to add some gold Nuvo gilding flakes. I then cut a piece of wood pattern paper for the floor.  I placed my colored images on the background and decided I was missing some accessory elements so I stamped the ornaments and gift from the Happy Pawlidays set on Kraft, colored them and then used the accompanying dies. I fussy cut the other elements so they would be seamless on the scene but I felt that the dies for the ornaments was fine. I then embellished them with my white and stardust Gellyroller pen.

I opted for the beautiful Joy die from the newest MFT release for the sentiment (love this die). Once all of my elements were glued to the card base I really felt that the little "Duffy" needed the Lawn Fawn bubble with the bone from the Christmas Dream Stamp set lol!

I then added glossy accents to the ornaments, the dogs nose and eyes and the buttons on the middle pillow.  Thanks so much for taking the time! If any of these products interest you they are available a Butterfly Reflections Ink. If there are items out of stock simply press the notify me option. Vanessa is really quick about re-stocking!

Thanks for taking the time and have a great weekend!

Happy Hippos!

Happy Sunday crafty friends! So nice to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink. blog with you for today :)

My project today features MFT products that can be all be found in the Butterfly Reflections Ink. shop!

But I mean, look at those hippos! I just fell in love with them! This is the Happy Hippos stamp set by MFT colored with my Copic Sketch markers - I wanted a really whimsical card and what better than flying Hippos, Lol. For the background "colored" clouds I used the fantastic Cloud Stencil by MFT, I love this stencil! Instead of a typical blue I decided to go with Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed to match my Copic accent colors.

For the "white" clouds I used the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud borders. I put my elements together and added my favorite Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins. I finished off by adding a little grey Copic marker under my bottom elements to ground them.

For those of you interested in any of these products go on over to the shop, if any items are not in stock simply select the Notify Me option. Vanessa rocks at re-stocking quickly.

Thanks for taking the time!

Awesome Rainbow!

Happy Monday crafty friends! Kim with you this morning and I am sharing another rainbow inspired project! Weather is so beautiful and that is inspiring me with color! Lots of color! All of the products used are available on the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop!

I started by die-cutting the Concord and 9th Floral and Flutter flower die with several colors of card stock. I added shading with Distress Inks to the edges of the petals. I then cut my Neena 80lbs card front to a little narrower than the 4.25 width and die cut the edges with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Border Dies.

I then felt the card needed a black sentiment for it to really pop so I chose the Neat & Tangled Awesome die and I accompanied that with an Avery Elle "You Are" sentiment from the Simply Said Hugs set (with some craft surgery to mix and match the words).

I put the card together and had to add my favorite Pretty Pink Posh Crystal Clear sequins and a mix of Nuvo Crystal and Jewel drops in the centres of the flowers!

Thanks for taking the time, have a great week! If any of these products are out of stock simply select the "notify me" option Vanessa stocks really quickly!

Rainbows and Distress Inks

Happy Easter Monday crafty friends! I was lucky enough to have a four day weekend break to spend with family and friends. Very relaxing with lots of love, laughs and yes some craft time :) I hope you all had a great Easter weekend.

I felt like playing with Distress Inks for this project! All of the products can be found in the Butterfly Reflections Ink. Shop

I started with a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor paper and loosely painted on a rainbow of Distress Inks (Mermaid Lagoon, Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade, Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet) once the panel dried I went back in with some (Blueprint Sketch, Mowed Lawn, Fossilized Amber, and Seedless Preserves) to add depth.

I then decided to use the Wplus9 Color my World paint tubes and colored them and the paint brush with my Copic Sketch markers and fussy cut all of my images.  I have always loved the Lawn Fawn You Color my World sentiment so I white embossed it on Lawn Fawn Black card stock. I placed all of my elements on the Distress panel and cut the excess from my Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle die.

I also painted the tip of the paintbrush with my white Gelly Roll for the illusion of paint. Once my card was put together I added a rainbow of both 4mm and 6mm Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Kraft and colored pencils!

Happy Monday! Kim with you this morning and I am sharing an anniversary card today made with one of my favorite mixes - colored pencils on Kraft card stock! These are all products you can find in BR shop!

I started with a piece of Kraft card stock and stamped my flowers and leaves from Winnie & Walter's In Bloom - Addie's Garden (I am obsessed with this set lately) set with Kraft colored ink and I colored them with my Prismacolor pencils.

I guess with Easter around the corner, my color palette became what it is! When it came time to add a sentiment (this is an anniversary card for my parents :)) I, again, turned to my current obsession, the Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy Lawn Cuts and stamps.  I stamped the anniversary sentiment on a piece of Perfectly Plaid Rainbow paper and die cut the Happy out of lavender card stock and stamped the "happy" on top in Versafine Onyx Black.

I then felt that the left side looked slightly empty so I pulled out my Avery Elle Butterflies set and stamped one of them on Kraft paper and colored it in shades of purple and lavender.  I fussy cut it to pop it up on the base panel (again, I didn't buy the dies and it's a set I use often...) and I added some dot detail. To finish everything off I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Sequins and some Nuvo Jewel Drops in Lavender, Pink and Yellow.

Thanks so much for taking the time! If you are interested in any of these products they all have direct links to the shop and if anything is backordered just select the notify me option. Vanessa stocks very quickly!

Have a great week and I will see you Easter Monday!

Out of This World Monday!

Happy Monday crafty friends! Kim With you this morning, can you believe it is already and at the same time finally April! My project today features the fantastic Out of this World stamps and dies by Lawn Fawn! All of these products are available in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink shop!

I don't know about you but when a set is released that is perfect for masculine/boy cards I jump on it! I have 7 nephews and I find masculine cards daunting! So I had to have this one.

I started by stamping all of my images using my Misti Stamp Tool to double stamp for crisp black images.  I Copic coloured my images and I googled actual pictures of the planets to give a realistic color palette.

I then pulled out all the border and background dies I wanted to use. I started by die cutting both navy cardstock and Neena Solar White (80 lbs) with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frames. I then took the inside white piece and die cut it again using the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders to act like a moon. I then took the navy inside piece and die cut it with the Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrop die for my sky. I sprayed the navy piece with white and shimmer spray to add texture and a galaxy effect.

I put the background elements together and then die cut my images. I glued all of my elements to the base and added some glossy accents to the space ship, the Saturn ring and the helmet. I added some shading to the Moon with my Copics and that was it!

Go on to the shop if you are interested in any of these products and if they are out of stock simply select the put me on the waiting list option. Vanessa re-stocks very quickly!

Have a great week!

Watercolor with Altenew

Happy Monday crafty friends, Kim with you this morning with a no-line Altenew watercolored flower! Products can all be found in the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop :)

I bought a new set of watercolor paints and I wanted to practice so I pulled out one of my favorite Altenew flower sets Beautiful Day. I always love to practice colouring on Altenew florals due to the size of their stamps.

I started by stamping my image using Distress Ink in Old Paper and slowly building my color. Once I finished my flower I fussy cut it once it was dry (moral to this story, always by the dies...lol)  I then used some accompanying foliage stamps from the Beautiful Day set along with the leaves from the Winnie and Walter In Bloom Addie's Garden set.

I stamped my sentiment in a mix of black and lavender inks using my Misti to mask and be able to double stamp the sections. I cut a matching card base from my Canson watercolor paper popped up my card sprinkled some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins and I was done!

If any of these products interest you and the stock is limited please select the notify me button, Vanessa rocks at re-stocking very quickly!

Happy first day of Spring crafty friends! Kim with you on this Monday morning and I am sharing spring flowers with happy everything wishes with products that can be found in the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop!

When the new Lawn Fawn release was launched, like many of you, I wanted the whole release especially the fun critters! This Fab Flowers set however is probably one of my favorite Lawn Fawn sets ever! I stamped my flowers using my Misit in various Lawn Fawn and Hero Arts inks. I used LF ButterLF Peachy KeenLF GuavaLF Minty FreshLF MermanLF Celery StickHA Fresh Lawn and LF Freshly Cut Grass I then die cut my images with the coordinating Fab Flowers dies.

I started placing my flowers and decided to die cut two panels the yellow in the back is from the Lawn Fawn Watercolour Wishes 6x6 paper pad. I die cut both panels from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles (largest of the small rectangle set) and started placing my flowers in the bottom corner.  I then decided to die cut one of the three Happy, Happy, Happy Lawn Cuts  and chose the "Everything" sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy stamp set (such a versatile sentiment set). I white embossed the sentiment on Lawn Fawn Narwal paper placed all my sentiments and finished it off with some Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets both the 4mm and 6mm.

I added some dot detail with both my white and black gell pens.  I am happy with the way this springy card turned out. Makes me happy to think we shall have flowers, grass and full-on spring soon enough!

Monday Rainbow MFT Hugs!

Happy Monday, Kim with you here this morning sharing a rainbow themed card featuring MFT product from the Butterfly Reflections Ink store!!!

It was such cold weekend I decided to hibernate a little a find some well deserved quiet time in my craft room!

I absolutely wanted to use the Furever Friends stamp and die sets by My Favorite Things, there is just something about the MFT images that I love. After colouring my images with my Copic markers, I decided I wanted an anchor for them and what better than the My Favorite Things Die-Namics Big Hugs die! I decided to die cut it from the new Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Rainbow 6x6 papers, I am so going to need to order more of this paper pack!

I then decided to die cut the bottom of my base panel using the My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 and repeated it with some more of the same Lawn Fawn pattern paper. I put the card together and added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins (new to the BR shop!) and a variety of the Nuvo Jewel Drops.

And for today's post, I decided to offer a few different views of my project!

Have a great week!

Birthday Sloth with Hugs!

Happy Monday! Kim back with you today and I am in a great mood! March has arrived which means spring is around the corner!

My project today features all Lawn Fawn products and is a birthday card for one of my nephews! Go check out the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop for some great Lawn Fawn products, links below!

I have always loved Lawn Fawn and especially their critters. This sloth from the Hang in There stamp set is certainly not an exception - I just love him! I started by stamping and coloring my sloth with Copics (W7 and W5 for the eyes, a mix of W5, W3, E71 and E74 for the body, E40 and E42 for the face). I die cut the image then went through my Lawn Fawn stash and decided on a jungle theme for my nephew Tristan. I used the trees from Critters Down Under and the leaves from Critters in the Jungle.

I then decided to die cut my base panel from Avery Elle's Wonky Stitches Elle-ments. The cloud masks were die cut from Lawn Fawn clouds and I used Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass for the sky. I also used my Copics for the trees and leaves in YG01, YG13 and YG17 and for the tree trunks I used E31, E55, E57 and E77. I then felt I needed to add some more jungle greenery and I used the Grassy Border from Lawn Fawn and added a bit of Mowed Lawn Distress Ink for depth. I put my card together before choosing my sentiment, I ended up loving the Lawn Fawn With Hugs from the Fab Flowers set. I added a few Lawn Fawn hearts and the birthday hat also from Hang in There and a pompom!

Have a great week!

MFT Otters!!!

Happy Monday all! Kim here with you this morning for Butterfly Reflections Ink featuring the wonderful MFT Otters!

I love otters, I keep telling my husband that if we lived in a warmer climate I would want one in the pool all year long! No can do in Montreal...

This one will double as a Valentine's Day card for one of my best friends, who loves otters too :)
This guy below was my inspiration from a Google search:

Look at that dude! Lol

For my card I started with a Neena Solar White card base and embossed it with a Tim Holtz/Sizzix embossing folder. I then die cut my frames (Poppy Scribble Trio Frames) out of Kraft and Neena. The Kraft for the actual frame and the Neena to stamp my otters.  I Copic coloured my otters and tried to get the same colours as my inspiration photo (E42, E43, E44 and E47 for the body, E30, E31 for the nose surround and R22, R46, R37 and R59 for the heart). I made my own waves using B00, B02 and B04) I then used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the sky. I put my frames together and then used Stick It adhesive with craft foam and my red shiny card stock then die cut it with the Avery Elle Simply Said Hugs Elle-ments. I then embossed my "Otter" sentiment from the same MFT Otter set with white embossing powder and cut my black card stock to size.

I put the last elements on the card and added some Neat and Tangled sequins from the Peppermint Stick Sequin Mix and I also die cut the hearts from the same foam/shiny paper with Lawn Fawn hearts.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

MFT Baby Tags

Happy Monday! This is Kim and I am so very excited to be sharing my first post with you for Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is making my first day back to work after a two-week break a happy one! I am sharing baby gift tags today, one of my friends is expecting and not sure what she is having so I made one of each!

I used my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool for the first time and loved it! I cut my own Tim Holtz watercolor paper to the size of tag I wanted (2 3/4 x 4 1/4) and cut the edges with my trimmer.  I stamped my sentiments that are by Lawn Fawn Hello Baby with VersaMark ink and used white embossing powder. For the girl tag I used a mix of Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral Distress Inks and for the boy tag I used Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Inks.  I sprayed both tags with some water and dabbed it off. I then stamped my images by My Favorite Things Snuggle Bunnies for the girl and Magical Dragons for the boy.  I colored my images and then fussy cut the dragon (should have bought the dies)  and die cut the bunnies . I then glued them to my tags and fused my plastic (left an opening to add the sequins, in hindsight I would have left some margin room on either side for a little give to add the sequins).  The sequins are from Tayored Expressions for the girl tag in Snow Flurries and for the boy tag by Lucy's Cards in Mint.

Thanks so much for taking the time and I will be back next Monday with another project!
Kim
