Sending you a Paper Hug!

Happy Monday! I am sharing a Paper Hug today featuring this fabulous die by The Stamp Market :) I am in love with this stamp and die set!!!

I started by taking a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper and playing with my Avery Elle watercolors in rainbow order :)

Since they are in fantastic little bottles, I simply put a drop to paper and used my distress sprayer to spread the color. I repeated this about three times for each color and then added some Antique Bronze Distress Paint and spread that with water as well.

Once it was damp, I placed the panel under a pile of stamping blocks to flatten it and prepared my Paper Hug die that I cut from a Fun Foam, Stick It and Tonic Black Glitter sandwich.

I also used my Rose Gold Embossing Powder for the secondary sentiment which should have gone on the top but it looked better at the bottom, lol.

I embossed my panel with a We R Memory Keepers 3D Embossing  Folder and put everything together on the card base.

To finish off I added some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold sequins that match the Antique Bronze paint and my embossing powder beautifully.

Thanks so much for taking the time! All products used are listed and linked below, affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you!

Spring Rain

Happy Tuesday! We are getting over a fun April freezing rain storm (insert sarcasm here)!  Lots of rain this week but warmer temps which means Spring has sprung! So I was inspired for the current Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Flickr Challenge!

I recently placed an order for some Simon's brand exclusives and I had to add the sweet Showers and Flowers set! The first thing I inked up were these sweet polka dot wellies! I colored everything with Copics (shocker, my go to coloring medium). I fussy cut the image because I did't realize there were accompanying dies... they are going in my next shopping basket! lol

I then decided to use the new Reverse Polka 6 x 6 cling background stamp (love it) with some SSS Fog ink on some Neena 80lbs card stock.  I love this background stamp, I have always loved polka dots!  I die cut the panel with an MFT die - upper centre and placed the panel to my card base with 3M foam tape.

I placed the image in the circle and added the great "kindness" sentiment from the same set. To top off my project, I used to Pretty Pink Posh Thank You Script die with Tonic Black Glitter card stock. I added some Tonic glitter pen and Tonic glue to the main image.

Thanks for taking the time!

CAS-ual Fridays - Going Green!

Happy Friday! Time for another CAS-ual Fridays Challenge! The theme is Going Green in honour of St-Patrick's Day! My husband and I are both Irish on our Mom's sides therefore March 17 is a biggie in our house!

I had such fun with this project using green alcohol inks and some gold foil for my larger layer of hearts and some new Tonic glitter card stock for the smaller layer.

I used the Cupid's Arrows heart dies to form the shape of my Shamrock. I die cut four of the stacked heart from my alcohol inked paper and then another four from my Tonic Shamrock Green glitter card stock.  I glued them to my base panel in the shape of a Shamrock :) I chose the sentiment (I felt this was completely appropriate for St-Patrick's day, lol) from the Shenanigans stamp set.

Go on over to the shop, Michele has a 17% discount in honour of March 17!

Join us at the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge blog for the chance to win $25 worth of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and, drum roll please... Michelle with double the prize if you use CAS-ual Fridays stamps!

Thanks so much for taking the time!

Pretty Pink Posh Hummingbirds

Happy Wednesday crafty friends! Like many of you, I have been so anxious to get my hands on the Pretty Pink Posh Hummingbirds stamp and die set! I had such fun with these, I am in serious need of spring inspiration and they sure did that for me!

I wasn't sure about my background (the heart cover plate die is by Hero Arts from last year and the cloud stencil is by MFT) at first so I added a vellum overlay to soften the hearts and cloud mix.  I stamped my birds with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink to use my Copic markers in a mix of pastels in the BG, BV, R and Y families. I added some dot detail with the darkest Copic of that color family and some black gel pen on the eyes for definition.

I then die cut some MFT stitched clouds from both vellum and Neena 80lbs card stock and also die cut the Hero Arts Wonderful (Stamp and Cut set) from Tonic glitter card stock and a StickIt and fun foam sandwich for added dimension (I like to die cut my glitter and fun foam separately to make sure I get the best cut from my glitter paper).

I put all of my elements on the card base, once I was happy with the placement I added two white embossed sentiments from black card stock (also from the Hero Arts Stamp and Cut set) on the top and bottom of the wonderful.

I finished the project with a rainbow assortment of sequins by Studio Katia and gold die cut hearts from the CAS-ual Fridays Fun-Fetti. Most of the products used were purchased at the Butterfly Reflections Ink on-line shop.

Thanks for taking the time!
