Fall Blooms with CAS-ual Friday's Stamps

Happy Tuesday! I had a little time to play in my craft room last weekend and I decided to play with one of my favorite CAS-ual Friday's stamp sets.

I used the Peaceful Garden stamps and dies for these two more fall inspired cards. I think both of these would make good either sympathy or support cards. I always have a hard time with these types of cards but it's always good to have some on-hand.  I stamped my flowers and leaves in three different inks in the blue and green families around the edges of my panel (Neena 80lbs).

I then used the Hero Arts Crossing Waves stencil with some Stormy Sky Distess Ink. I lightly added my ink to give a faint ombré type effect.

To finish off the panel I stamped my sentiment and added a mix of Pretty Pink Posh sequins and some Nuvo drops.

I did much of the same for the second card only changed out my colors and used the accompanying Peaceful Garden dies to pop up my flowers.

I used the same stencil but with Abandoned Coral Distress Ink and the panel was die cut with a Hero Arts Rounded Rectangle die.

I finished this one off with some Neat & Tangled sequins.

Thanks for taking the time, products listed and linked below!

CFC202 - Inspiration

Happy Friday crafty friends! I have a bittersweet post today, this is my last post for the CAS-ual Friday's Challenge blog. It has been a wonderful experience and Michele Gross the wonderful owner of CAS-ual Friday's stamps has been amazing! I really want to thank her and our blog coordinator Alanna Moses.

This week the theme for the challenge is an inspiration picture. I was inspired by the colors popping in the sky. So, I decided to make my flowers fall from the sky.

I used the beautiful new Peaceful Garden stamp set in a rainbow of colors! Stamped each color three times and finished by adding the leaves from the same set. I chose my sentiment from the Truth Is stamp set and trimmed my Neena 80lbs panel to 5.25 x 4. I foam mounted my panel to the card base and added some PPP Sparkling Clear Sequins and Nuvo Jewel Drops.

Thanks so much for taking the time and go check out the challenge!

CFC201 - Boys of Summer!

Happy Friday! That also means it's time for another fun CAS-ual Friday's Challenge! The challenge is all about Boys of Summer!

I was inspired by summery masculine colors and the clean and simple Bold Wishes stamp set by CAS-ual Friday's for my project today. Most of the birthday's in my family are in July and August, this will be perfect for one of my nephews!

I started by making my centre point so that I could first align my sentiment. I then worked on either side of is with my stamp and then the top and bottom. I am always worried when I do a card like this that the alignment will be skewed but this worked out well! I then trimmed my panel to 5.25 x 4, foam mounted it on my Neena card base and added some clear droplets. Clean and very simple, quick card to put together!

CFC200

Happy Friday! Time for a new Cas-ual Fridays Challenge and the theme is birthday!

I used the fun new 3 x 4 Celebrate stamp set for my project and the balloons from the Bunny Fri-die set. The inspiration for this project was the confetti I used in the shaker portion. I picked three ink colors and used my Stamp Platform so that I could ink my stamp twice. I love the effect of multiple inks on a sentiment.

The die cut window is by MFT and the glitter paper that I used for the balloons is by Simon Says Stamp (I LOVE this glitter paper so much). To finish off I added some of the same confetti and some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins.

CAS-ual Friday's Sketch Challenge

Happy Fri-Yay crafty friends! That also means time for a new CAS-ual Friday's Challenge! This week we are focusing on a sketch.

I have been crazy busy lately and my craft room was a serious mess! So, you will have noticed if you follow my blog that my color scheme this week has been pretty much the same... All of my supplies with these colors were readily available on my desk, therefore I opted to use some of the same colors. LOL.

I started by die cutting my card stock with the Stars Fri-Dies. Once I had the placement that I liked with the stars I added my sentiment from the Bold Wishes stamp set. I decided to color in the "4" using my Copic glitter markers. I them attacked my stars with a mix of foam tape and glue. Once that was complete I added some Pretty Pink Posh gems.

April Showers Bring May Flowers!

Happy Friday! Time for a fun new challenge over at the CAS-ual Friday's Challenge Blog :) This week we are all about flowers!

I was inspired to use the Truth Is stamp set once more because it is my all-time fav. CAS-ual Friday's Stamp set.  Only I decided to play with ink smooshing this time.  I started by stamping my flowers and sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black Ink (in hindsight I should have waited and stamped them after I was done with my Oxide smooshing because the Oxides dull the black ink).

On a piece of Bristol Smooth card stock, I used Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Squeezed Lemonade Oxide and a little of the Picked Raspberry Distress Ink only to intensify the pink (all applied with my stamp set backer acetate).

I then added color to my flowers with my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers in coordinating colors. I then went over all of the black stamping with one of my 0.5 black markers to remove the filmy overlay that the Oxides left. I used my 1/2 inch corner chomper on two of the opposing corners. Added my panel to my Avery Elle grey card base.

I then added my Studio Katia Iridescent Bubbles and some Nuvo Black and White Crystal drops.

Michele's 50th Birthday Bash!

Happy Friday crafty friends! Today, I am super excited to be hopping along for Michele's 50th Birthday Bash! Michele is the owner of CAS-ual Friday's Stamps and we are blog hopping to celebrate 50!

You have the chance of winning one of 5 $50 dollar gift cards! One winner will be chosen from the CAS-ual Friday's company blog and four others will be chosen randomly from comments on the various blog hop posts. Good luck and enjoy the hop!

The entire list of blog links can be found on the CAS-ual Friday's blog. You will have arrived here from the super talented Virginia Lu's blog.

My project features some of my favorite CAS-ual Friday's products! I knew I absolutely wanted to use my Truth Is stamp set these flowers make my heart flutter! And I figured what's better than a rainbow to bring in a big birthday!

I started by stamping my blooms with Catherine Pooler's Lime Rickey Ink (all of the inks used on this project are by Catherine Pooler) on the side of the panel so that I could accommodate the Birthday from the Shenanigans stamp set.  I then stamped my sentiments, I used CP Midnight for the happy and the sentiment on the bottom of the panel and a mix of the CP pastel collection for the birthday. These inks stamp so smoothly that it was easy to create a rainbow with the birthday sentiment.

I then stamped and gold embossed a series of the blooms on a separate piece of Neena 80 lbs card stock so that I could color with my Copics in rainbow colors.  I then used the Truth Bloom die and die cut all of my flowers. I used foam tape to give some dimension on all the blooms and cut the excess on the sides. I topped off the project with a mix of Lucie's Little Things Rainbow gems and some black Nuvo Crystal Drops for the flower centres.

Your next stop on the hop is the super talented Michelle Wallace. Don't forget to leave a comment for the chance to win! Enjoy :) Happy Birthday Michele!

CFC196 - Spring Fever!

Happy Friday crafty friends! I have been so looking forward to the Easter break, four days away from work with family and friends always makes a difference!

Time for a new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge, we are focusing on Spring Fever!

My project today features the new CAS-ual Fridays Somebunny stamp set! I can't even, look at that bunny! I tried my hand at some no-line Copic coloring and some added pencil detail to make her look furry! Not sure I have the technique down, but I am happy I tried it and it does give added dimension and texture. I am really in love with this set and the fun accompanying sentiments are super fun. I used some Spring like violet colors for the clouds and in my choice of Copics.

To finish off the project, I added some glitter Fun-Fetti hearts and a white and silver pompom for her tail!

CAS-ual Fridays - Going Green!

Happy Friday! Time for another CAS-ual Fridays Challenge! The theme is Going Green in honour of St-Patrick's Day! My husband and I are both Irish on our Mom's sides therefore March 17 is a biggie in our house!

I had such fun with this project using green alcohol inks and some gold foil for my larger layer of hearts and some new Tonic glitter card stock for the smaller layer.

I used the Cupid's Arrows heart dies to form the shape of my Shamrock. I die cut four of the stacked heart from my alcohol inked paper and then another four from my Tonic Shamrock Green glitter card stock.  I glued them to my base panel in the shape of a Shamrock :) I chose the sentiment (I felt this was completely appropriate for St-Patrick's day, lol) from the Shenanigans stamp set.

Go on over to the shop, Michele has a 17% discount in honour of March 17!

CAS-ual Fridays Rainbows!

Happy Friday crafty friends! And it's time for the by-monthly CAS-ual Fridays Challenge! This week it's all about rainbows! This theme works for me, warmer temps, the snow is melting and it makes my heart happy like rainbows!

I picked-up some go the Taylored Expressions Inks and I decided that they were perfect for this background! I started by stamping my background using the wonderfully graphic CAS-ual Fridays Modern Petals border stamp with Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink. I decided to emboss the black with Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder, you can't see it well in the picture but it leave such pretty effect. I also wanted to ensure that my black ink didn't run with the ink blending.

To blend my ink I started with Lollipop (gorgeous pink), then used Lemon Meringue and it gave me a beautiful orange when mixed with the pink, then added Cookie Monster and that gave me the green, blue green and finished with the Lollipop again which gave me the blue and the purple. It was seriously effortless and I love the effect.

I die cut my Scallop Tag from Vellum and white embossed my sentiment from Puffy Heart Love. I used clear dimensional squares (cut to size) on the back of the sentiment and popped up my tag on the panel and glued it to the card base. I used some Lawn Fawn Lawn Trimmings and Rainbow gems by Lucie's Little Things.

CAS-ual Friday's Sketch Challenge!

Happy Friday crafty friends! Yup, it's that time for another fun challenge over at the CAS-ual Friday's Challenge Blog!  This time it's a sketch challenge!

I decided to flip the sketch for my project. I am usually drawn to white with bright colors but there is something about this Raspberry card stock that I simply love! I started by die cutting my circles and putting everything together using the die cut inlay technique. I then stamped my flowers and leaves from Pretty Posies in a shade darker than the card stock. I then die cut my Smiling Fri-Die from white card stock and fun foam. I used the same ink to shade my card stock and I topped it off with Nuvo Glaze. I then stamped the Sweet Fried from Special Delivery in VersaMark Ink and gold embossed the sentiment.

I finished off by adding some Fun-Fetti hearts and a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

CFC192 - Hearts, Hearts and More Hearts

Happy Friday crafty friends! Time for another challenge at the CAS-ual Friday's Challenge Blog! This week we are all about the hearts and the more the better!

I decided to start this project by playing with my alcohol inks on Yuppo paper. I loved the way the panel turned out with dark pinks and reds and you can see the swirls in the hearts.  I die cut my panel with the Heart Board Fri-Die - this is a fabulous die, it gives you five hearts that you can stack or use separately like I did here.

I embossed my background panel with a 3D embossing folder and I popped up my hearts with foam tape. I then chose a sentiment from the Cupid's Arrows stamp set, I love this sentiment - very Grey's Anatomy lol! I white embossed it on Tonic flat mirror card stock in red and also added it with foam tape.

To finish off the project I used my favorite ever accent hearts from the Fun-Fetti Fri-Dies set.

CFC189 - Dreaming of a White Christmas

Happy Friday crafty friends! One week left to go then two weeks break from work! Can't begin to tell you how much good that will do for my soul to be with family and friends over Christmas! For now, it's time for another fun challenge over at CAS-ual Friday's  Challenge Blog!

This week we are Dreaming of a White Christmas!

I am in my tag making frenzy right now and I thought the CAS-usl Friday's Funky Flakes (my favorite snowflake die cuts) would be perfect. To make the top white snowflake I used glitter embossing powder with some MFT Whip Cream card stock. The bottom is die cut from silver glitter paper, I do love the way the snowflakes looked, more of an elegant tag set.

For the sentiment I used the Hugs from the 3 in a Row set with some Simon Says Stamp grey ink.I toped the tag off with a silver bow and some twine!

CAS-ual Friday's Merry Christmas

Happy Monday crafty friends! My project today features my new favourite Merry Christmas sentiment which a is new from CAS-ual Friday's :)

When I opened this set I knew I had to use it right away, I just love the font!

I decided to go with a more traditional colour palette mixed with kraft card stock.  I used my Ranger red embossing powder for the sentiment once I embossed it I decided on this Mama Elephant frame die.  I then decided to emboss my snowflakes (Snowy Sayings stamp set) with gold glitter embossing powder.

I added some white gel pen to act as more falling snow. For the frame I used the Lawn Fawn Arglye background stamp and used the same gold embossing powder. I finished with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins and a felt piece for the holly.

CFC187 - Gratitude with Altitude

Happy Friday crafty friends! I am so looking forward to a weekend with no work in sight! At least not right now, lol!  Every other Friday means time for another CAS-ual Friday's Challenge!

The theme this week is Gratitude with Altitude!

I thought what set better to display altitude then the fantastic Tutu set :). I paired it with the Thanks from the Smiling Fri-Dies. I wanted colour on the project since the ballerina is black so I opted for a rainbow offset sentiment with my thanks. I die cut the sentiment in an array of rainbow colors and stacked them offset to see the rainbow effect.  I then colored in my Ballerina's flowers with a mix of rainbow Zig Clean Color Real brush markers.

I then added a rainbow assortment of sequins, Nuvo drops and finally three hearts from the Fun-Fetti Fri-Dies.
