Simon Says: Card and Matching Envelope!

Good morning crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Card and a Matching Envelope! The design team is featuring We R Memory Keepers products, it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

For my card and envelope I chose to use the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board and the new Gemstone 3D embossing folders.  I love the 3D embossing folders they offer such great dimension and texture. The envelop punch board is great because when used with heavy weight card stock the weight and sturdiness of the envelope make for very easy mailing and it protects the card.

To pair with these products, I dug into my Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit (there are still some complete kits available) I linked to the kit below and I also provided the separate product links.

I started by ink blending my Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral Distress INKS (not Oxide) on my background (I still prefer to blend with the Inks) and sprayed with my Distress Sprayer. Once that was dry, I die cut my Stitched Lawn Fawn heart and embossed the background panel.

I then stamped my snowperson and coloured with my Copics and fussy cut. I added one of the Pink Pom Poms from the kit (by Darice) and some Lawn Fawn Chunky Glitter to the hat.

To stamp my sentiment and snow flakes from the same stamp set, I used a mix of Distress Oxide (I love stamping with these) and some Simon Says Stamp Antique Gold embossing powder.

I placed my panel on the base using Foam tape and added my snow person, some Studio Katia Iridescent Bubbles and a mix of Nuvo glitter and crystal drops.

For the envelope, I made an A2 size from heavy weigh card stock, stamped a few snowflakes on the flap and embossed the flap with the same embossing folder.

New Baby Onesie Card!

Happy Friday crafty friends! Doing a happy dance because I have no office commitments this weekend!

I saw this great tutorial on Pinterest to make a baby onesie card. I just had to try it! Perfect timing, lots of births in my little world this year.

I had such fun making this card and once you have your measurements, it is so easy to do!  I started with my new Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers card stock cut to an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5). Then it's simply a question of using either a round punch or die (I used my Lawn Fawn dies, both the stitched circles and scalloped circles).

I then measured the sides and cut them with my Tim Holtz scissors and added a bight of Picked Raspberry Distress Ink on the edges.  I thought the We R Memory Keepers Next Level embossing folders with the puffy hearts would be sweet so I embossed the card base. I then cut the scalloped edges and the heart die with some Lawn Fawn Rainbow Plaid paper.

I added a hot pink circle to frame the heart and the congratulations sentiment is by Avery Elle.  On the inside I cut a white "onesie" to write my message. Simple and fun project!

Thanks for taking the time!

Neat and Tangled Valentine's Day Tag!

Happy Monday! Kim with you this morning and I can't believe Valentine's Day is around the corner, 2017 is going by fast! My project today features the wonderful Neat and Tangled My Favorite Nut stamp set and dies :)

I thought the size and dimensions of the acorn with the squirrels was perfect to make my husbands Valentine's Day gift tag! I am in love with this set and the tag dimension is perfect. I colored the images with my Copics and used more caramel colours for the bottom and traditional browns for the top. I decided on warm greys for the squirrels to make them stand out.  I then did some surgery for the sentiment because I felt the "you are my nut" represented the recipient well! Lol! I embossed the sentiment in white. I then felt the tag needed some hearts, so I used a mix of Lawn Fawn heart dies to finish off the tag!

I used my We R Memory Keepers hole punch and then made the box out of Kraft card stock using my gift box punch board (also by We R Memory Keepers). Then attached the tag with Lawn Fawn Peppermint Twine and natural twine.

I think he will get a kick out of this! Have a great week!
Thanks for taking the time

MFT Baby Tags

Happy Monday! This is Kim and I am so very excited to be sharing my first post with you for Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is making my first day back to work after a two-week break a happy one! I am sharing baby gift tags today, one of my friends is expecting and not sure what she is having so I made one of each!

I used my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool for the first time and loved it! I cut my own Tim Holtz watercolor paper to the size of tag I wanted (2 3/4 x 4 1/4) and cut the edges with my trimmer.  I stamped my sentiments that are by Lawn Fawn Hello Baby with VersaMark ink and used white embossing powder. For the girl tag I used a mix of Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral Distress Inks and for the boy tag I used Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Inks.  I sprayed both tags with some water and dabbed it off. I then stamped my images by My Favorite Things Snuggle Bunnies for the girl and Magical Dragons for the boy.  I colored my images and then fussy cut the dragon (should have bought the dies)  and die cut the bunnies . I then glued them to my tags and fused my plastic (left an opening to add the sequins, in hindsight I would have left some margin room on either side for a little give to add the sequins).  The sequins are from Tayored Expressions for the girl tag in Snow Flurries and for the boy tag by Lucy's Cards in Mint.

Thanks so much for taking the time and I will be back next Monday with another project!

Avery Elle Gummy Bear!

The challenge this month over at AEIheartU is Friendship! I just fell in love with the Avery Elle Beary Sweet Wishes set, who doesn't love a good gummy bear!

I started with Tim Holtz watercolor paper and die cut the panel with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitched rectangle die. I then die cut the centre with an oval die.  I white embossed (Zing powder) the Sweet from the Avery Elle Celebrate set repeatedly, once the powder was set I used Distress Inks (Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers) I then sprayed the background with my Distress Sprayer. While that dried I embossed the oval with my new We R Memory Keepers next level embossing folder (love it). I stamped my gummy bear with MFT hybrid black ink and Copic coloured him with BG 000, BG10, BG11 and BG13 and used glossy accents.  For the sentiment I used the Hi and Friend from the Ellie stamp set (also Avery Elle) and the Sweet once more from Celebrate. The lime embossing powder is by Ranger. I put everything together and finished with PPP sequins.

Thanks for taking the time and Happy Sunday :)
