Inspired by the runway...

Nice quiet Sunday, Gym, groceries, a visit with my parents and time in my craft space while I wait for the Montréal Canadiens playoff game! What an excellent way to end the weekend! I am submitting this one to the Runway Inspired Challenge #82. I just love the black and gold on the dress and for those of you that follow my blog, you will remember that I am pushing myself with watercolour more and more.  I find it difficult so I am pushing my competitive self into using it more!  I used the Gansai Kuretake 36 set, I hope that's right it's all written in Japanese! I am bilingual but Japanese really isn't one of them Lol!

Products used:

Gansai Kuretake 36 watercolour set - Black and Gold paint
Tim Holtz watercolour paper
Mama Elephant Make a Wish stamp set

Sketch Challenge

Lawnscaping is holding a sketch challenge this month. Sketches are a challenge for me, someone's else's vision is difficult to properly interpret. I changed the layout only slightly as I felt it better represented the design and stamps I chose.

For anyone that follows my blog, you all know how much I love Lawn Fawn products. For some reason Critters Down Under is one that I still love to use. Maybe it's the fact that Australia is on my bucket list to visit and that I am a huge animal person. I just find Lawn Fawn Critters such fun. The parrot is from the new Critters in the Jungle set. I liked his size for this card.

Lawn Fawn stamps and dies:
Critters Down Under, Critters in the Jungle and Chit Chat (speech bubble)
Lawn Fawn stitched rectangles
Various enamel dots
Copics
Zing White embossing powder

Kraft and Prismacolor pencils

I made a card over the weekend for the Casual Fridays challenge featuring Kraft, flowers and twine. I just loved the Prismacolor effect on the Kraft cardstock that I decided to try another featuring one of my favorite Penny Black stamps. I will submit this one to the Casuals Fridays challenge as well!

Hero Arts w/OWH Baby Animals!

I ordered this stamp set in January and it finally became available! Waited impatiently for it for three months that's what living in Québec does! Couldn't wait to try this set, modelled the dog after my Duffy! I have been catching up on making cards for some dear friends that live way too far!

Mama Elephant Sweet Havana

So I am trying to play a little more with watercolour. It really isn't my comfort zone so I have pushing myself to do projects with different watercolour products.  I made this one using distress markers which I do find offers me a little more control... The new abandoned coral colour is one of my favourites in the line so that was my starting point. This Sweet Havana set by Mama Elephant is also one of my favourites to work with and I, again, used my new MFT dies and an assortment of PPP sequins.

Tim Holtz Crazy Birds

I am enamoured with this "Angry Bird" stamp set by Tim Holtz. I have been having such fun playing with them! Here are two featuring my favourite of the birds. I haven't tried watercolour with them yet because I find the Copic blending such fun.  Will try the watercolour next.

This is the last post of the day, I swear! I seem to always turn to Penny Black for my Mother's Day card.  This was totally inspired by Kathy Racoosin on the last day of her 30-day challenge.  This Tiger Lily is one of my favourite flower stamps.

Penny Black and Mama Elephant

So I typically make family members a card from my husband and I as well as one from the pets.  The three of them are a big part of everyone's lives so it always seems appropriate and they all love getting them.  Monday is my parents 47 wedding anniversary this is the card from the pets, the Penny Black dog that I love is coloured like our Glory down to the daisy name tag she wears.  I am having a very happy Saturday in my craft room :).

Mama Elephant

This one is well, put it this way, a funny anniversary card for my parents (thank goodness they have a wonderful sense of humour!). I can't believe they have been married for 47 years! By the way, they had me late in life and I am the baby of the family...(lol).  I thought this card would be appropriate for the ME Make me Laugh Challenge over at Flickr.

Love these Honey bunnies from Mama Elephant
Also used the Balloon et Cetera and the second part of the sentiment is from a mix of Happy Everything and Jolly and Merry

Lawn Fawn Critters in the Jungle

This one was such fun to make, like all the Lawn Fawn Critters sets the possibilities are endless.  I do love the fact that most of the LF sets and dies are great to pair together.  I have been producing and enjoying my craft room over the last 10 days work travel has finally ceased for the next week or so. This will be the first of four posts today! I decided to enter this one as well to the Lawnscaping dimension challenge as a second entry.

Avery Elle Watercolour

I love this elephant, just picked this set up from my local scrapbook store - Scrapbook Centrale.  The challenge this month at the aeiheartu challenge is watercolour. I enjoy it but find it difficult to control (control freak anyone lol!). I tried the no-line watercolour with the elephant, I like the way it turned out.
