Simon Says: Anything Goes featuring Mama Elephant!

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! I hope you are all at home safe!

This week Simon Says: Anything Goes, the design team is featuring always amazing Mama Elephant products! It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

As you may know, the  Simon Says Stamp Store is now shipping! Woot!

I used the Corner Flowers set for my card and I decided to go out of my Copic comfort zone and pull out my Altenew 36 pan watercolor set! This card is for a dear friend that I have known since I was five. She lives in another part of Québec and I don't see her often so I needed a special card :)

I painted my flowers (that I stamped on Bristol paper), the process was a lot faster than expected. I let my panel dry properly and die cut my Birthday script die also by Mama Elephant with Black Licorice cardstock.

Once my panel was dry, I die cut the top and bottom using one of my Lawn Fawn Stitched Border dies. I glued my panel to the card base using foam tape. I added my sentiments and finished off with some Icy Sparkle Crystals by Studio Katia.

Simon Says Stamp: Sunny Days Ahead Release!

Happy Simon Says Stamp Release Day! The Sunny Days Ahead release is live in the Simon Says Stamp Store and they have begun shipping! Woot!

I got to play with the Simon Says Stamp and CZ Designs Congrats Die! I love all the CZ design products, her fonts are so clean :)

I chose the pair the die cut with the Simon Says Stamp Tumbling Hearts Stencil and a rainbow mix of  Distress Inks.  I did some selective masking to give me some white areas.

I then die cut my Congrats from both Black Licorice cardstock and Neena Solar White, I wanted the sentiment to pop off of the rainbow background.  I added the Congrats with foam tape to the right of the panel.  I stamped the Love You from the Simon Says Stamp Stronger Together set, cut it with my cutter and added it with foam tape.

To finish off, I added some Sparkling Clear Sequins and one white clay heart.

Simon Says: Flower Power

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! I hope you are all at home safe!

This week Simon Says: Flower Power, the design team is featuring always beautiful Altenew products! It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

As you may know, the  Simon Says Stamp Store is accepting new orders, but have longer shipping times for the moment due to the coronavirus. With this in mind we have made the difficult decision to suspend the $50 voucher for this challenge.

We know that many people are staying safe at home and we would love it if you would continue to enter the challenges and have fun! We are all in this together!

For those of you who follow my blog and/or Instagram you know I love to color! But there is something so fun and simple using these Altenew Layering Flowers especially when paired with their  ink pads that are formulated to give you perfect shading.

I used the Sweet Rose Bouquet for this card, all of the products on this card are by Altenew with the exception of the cardstocks and sequins.

I started by stamping my flowers and die cutting them. I chose the Mega Hello die because it takes so much real-estate on the panel that the flowers frame it so well.  I then decided to do some selective stencilling using the same inks and the Altenew Deco Wallpaper Stencil.

I put it all together and added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins.

I decided to make a second card, and used the Ornamental Flower by Altenew with a mix of colors from their ink lines.  The hello sweet friend are also by Altenew.

The pattern paper was the color inspiration for this card,  it is by Craft Paper and it's called Eastern Influences I felt the ornamental flower complimented the paper so well.

Once again, I finished it off with the same sequins!

Sending you Oceans of Love!

Happy Monday crafty friends! I have made a point during this lockdown to go through my stamps and dies and use products that I love that haven't yet been loved, lol!

My card today features the fantastic Oceans of Love stamp and die set by Heffy Doodle! I love these cuties! I started by stamping my images and colouring them in with my Copic Markers and used the accompanying dies.

For my background panel I smooshed my Distress Ink Pads on my glass mat and sprayed some water. I pressed my Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock on top and dried it with my heat tool. I repeated the process numerous times and lessened the amount of water I sprayed each time to add some extra texture.

I then die cut a small "ocean floor" strip and ink blended Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and added extra texture with a white gel pen and my Gathered Twigs Distress Marker.

I die cut my panel using my Rounded Rectangle dies and placed all of my images. I white embossed my sentiments on Black Licorice cardstock (I love that the die set includes a die for the Oceans sentiment) added them as well. To finish off, I added some Iridescent Bubbles and a white clay heart.

Simon Says: Knock on Wood!

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! I hope you are all at home safe!

This week Simon Says: Knock on Wood! The design team is featuring Tim Holtz products!

The one thing about this lockdown is that I have had a chance to go through my older stamps and dies and play with products that I have forgotten about or never even had a chance to use! I have always loved these Crazy Dogs by Tim Holtz and I do turn to them often but the Crazy Thoughts bubbles have never been inked! This was the perfect project to pull them out.

I always need a good masculine card and I often give dog cards from my two crazy dogs, I am pretty happy with the way this turned out.  Be a good one in my stash for my husband or Dad from the pups :)

The Moda Scrap woodgrain paper chose the color scheme for me. Once I picked my pattern paper, I stamped my dog and bubble and colored them in with my Copic markers.  Once that was complete, I die cut my Neena panel using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Border die and cut off the excess.

I placed everything on my card base using Foam Tape for the panel. I covered the whole panel with the 3M foam tape because I used Gossy Accents and it helps keep the warping minimal.

The "stick" for the dog is from a Lawn Fawn stamp set on Woodgrain paper and the secondary sentiment is also from two Lawn Fawn sets.  I thought it fit super well with the speech bubble.  Finally, some candy hearts by Button Galore.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #74 - Card Sketch

Happy Monday crafty friends! I haven't been able to enter a challenge in a long while, I figure with this lockdown what a better time to let myself get inspired! I created this card for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #74 - Card Sketch!

This card is packed with Lawn Fawn products all listed below.  This Butterfly Kisses stamp and die set is probably my favorite critter set by Lawn Fawn I think it may be the late spring summer feel to it - makes me happy.

I started by stamping an coloring my images with my Copic markers and used the accompanying dies.  I then chose my frames to mimic the sketch and die cut them from pattern paper and fun foam for dimension.  I chose the Watercolor Wishes blue paper for my "sky" background within the frames and die cut the frames once more.

Used my Quilted Backdrop die and die cut it from Neena Solar White cardstock and placed it on top of a piece of the Really Rainbow Plaid paper. I like the little specks of rainbow color it gives.

I die cut some flowers from different cardstocks using the little flowers and put my card together.

To finish off my project, I added some Spellbinders silver gems and some Studio Katia Icy Sparkle Jewels and some white gel pen detail.

Follow the Rainbows!

Happy Friday crafty friends! I got to play with my Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit - Follow the Rainbows this week.  This kit could not have been more timely!

I used the amazing stamp set, pattern papers and stencil from this kit for my card share today, I think this sentiment was so appropriate for what we are all feeling lately and we just need to remember that brighter days are coming!

I stamped my image and colored it in with my trusty Copic Markers. Once that was done I die cut the panel with my MFT Stitched Scallop die before stamping my sentiments and adding my clouds with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink.

I colored in my Friend sentiment with the same rainbow colors of the umbrella. I added my rainbow paper strip from the kit to the card base then my top panel with Fun Foam and finished off with some Nuvo water droplet gems.

Thanks so much for taking the time and stay safe! Products used are listed and linked below affiliate links used at no extra cost to you!

Simon Says: Spring Moodboard featuring: Hello Bluebird Stamps

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! I hope you are all at home safe!

This week Simon Says: Spring Moodboard  The design team is featuring Hello Bluebird products!

This beautiful Spring Moodboard was created by my amazing Teammate Karin!

This was a "feel-good" card to make, I love critters and this little scene was a pick-me-up right now. I am looking forward to freshly cut grass, flowers and some outside sun downtime.  I used three different Hello Bluebird sets for my critters. Stamped them and colored them in with my Copic markers.

For my panel, I used two MFT stencils, the Cloud and the Hills with some Distress Inks and cut it to add this MFT black stripe pattern paper to give the scene a little something.  For the flowers, I used one from Hello Bluebird and the Tulips are from a Simon Says Stamp Oval Scene die.

I gold embossed my Hello Sunshine on the top part of the panel added all of my elements and some blades of grass to the hill. Added my panel to the card base with fun foam and finished off with my favourite Studio Katia Icy Sparkle Crystals.
