Anxious for spring!

Happy Friday crafty friends! Sharing a spring inspired card today while I continue to dream for an early exit for winter!

Don't know about you but I get serious February blues every year, so I like to make bright and happy cards. I chose the Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Planter die with these gorgeous tulips :) I die cut and coloured my boots and tulips with my Copics in rainbow colors.

I then used Simon Says Stamp Fog ink and the largest HoneyBee polka dot stencil on a piece of Neena Solar white.  I die cut my panel using one of my MFT frames to showcase my boots.  I die cut some grass using my Simon Says Stamp borders and put my card together.  I felt I needed more tulips, so I die cut one more piece and cut the tulips from the die once they were colored.

I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Hugs die three times and layered them for dimension and embossed my secondary sentiment in white powder. To finish off, I added some black and white gel pen, glossy accents and Sparkling Clear Sequins.

Simon Says: Anything Goes featuring Impression Obsession!

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Anything Goes!  The design team is featuring super fun Impression Obsession Products! It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

How cute is this Guinea Pig? I had so much fun colouring him and making his fur look like fur, I do love my Copic Markers for this. I stamped him and coloured him in then used my Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die to cut the panel.

I thought this sentiment was too fun with the look on the guinea pig's face, lol! I white embossed it on black cardstock and trimmed it down, I also used my corner chomper on two sides to soften it up a bit. I added it to my card with foam tape. This was actually a quick card to put together and it is a little more CAS in style.  He was meant to be the star of this project!

I added my Tonic Shimmer pen to the flowers,  some Dream Drop Polka Dots and some white gel pen detail to the little guy. I finished off my card with a mix of Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and Jewel Drops.

Simon Says: Add a Sentiment!

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Add a Sentiment!  The design team is featuring always amazing Hero Arts Products! It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I simply adore this Tin of Brushes woodblock stamp by Hero Arts! Woodblock stamps have always been my favorite, they stamp beautifully! I have had it for a while and this was the time to stamp it!

I colored the bulk of my stamp with my Copic Markers and decided to use my Dina Wakely paints for the tips in rainbow colors. I really love the way it turned out! Once all the paint was dry, I added some glossy accents to shine it up and some white gel pen accents.

For my sentiments, I chose one of my favorite Simon Says Stmap die cuts the scripty Friends die and the secondary sentiment is by Hero Arts (embossed using Tonic embossing powder).

I paired it with this super fun Honey Bee pattern paper which matched my paint colors beautifully! I finish it off with some Studio Katia gems.

I made a second card for this weeks challenge, I received my last Simon Says Stamp order last Thursday and it included this gorgeous bouquet by Hero Arts. It needed to be colored, lol!

I colored it in with my favorite Copic Markers and die cut it using my Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangle die.  I added some splatters for added texture in Black Soot Distress Paint and my Finetec Gold water-colour paint.

I used my Simon Says Stamp Antique Gold embossing powder for the sentiment from the same stamp set. I added some white gel pen detail and the same Studio Katia gems! I am really happy with the way they both turned out!

Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit

Happy Monday crafty friends! My Simon Says Stamp card kit was kidnapped by Canada Post once again, lol! They finally delivered it to me on Thursday so I had some fun playing with the stamp set included in the kit over the weekend.

If ever the kit itself is sold out (I do believe this one is sold out), the components are sold separately in the Simon Say Stamp store!

It's February, I am into my winter blues so you will be seeing a lot of rainbows from me for a while, lol! It keeps my happy.  I couldn't wait to stamp these balloons! I mean how fun are the stamps from this stamp set!

I die cut my panel first to accommodate my MFT window plastic and because the balloon stamp is in two parts, it made it easier to line up.

I added the single balloon from the set in a few places and the confetti as well.  I coloured everything with my trusty Copic markers and then added some black gel pen detail. I usually use white for all, but I love the effect of the black polka dots.

I stamped my sentiments on the inside for the shaker portion and on the panel and added my rainbow sequins to the MFT plastic and put everything together.  to finish off, I added some clay hearts in rainbow colors.

Simon Says: Two or More Pattern Papers!

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Two or More Pattern Papers!  The design team is featuring always super fun DoodleBug Products! It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

My design today was inspired by the fantastic Hello 6 x 6 paper pack by Doodlebug designs! I used five patter papers from this pack for my card today.  I decided to pair them with the Simon Says Stamp Cosmo Flower die and the Simon Says stamp Hello die.

I chose the papers I wanted and then die cut one gold foil flower and two white (Neena Solar) flowers that I coloured with my Copic Markers in complementary colors.

I added my pattern paper to the top panel and glued my flowers with Foam Tape (top flowers) and glued the stems flat to the panel so that I could easily add my sentiments. I die cut the hello from two of the pattern papers and offset them slightly and glued them to my panel.  I embossed my secondary sentiment with Ranger Navy Blue embossing powder (it has a beautiful light metallic effect) to my pink paper and added it to the panel.

I finished off my card by adding some Pretty Pink Posh Jewels and some Nuvo Jewel Drops in the Pink and Blue.

All you need is love with Mae the Mouse

Hello crafty friends! Sharing a Valentine's Day Card featuring Honey Bee Stamps - Mae the Mouse!

I started by stamping and colouring all of my images from the Mae the Mouse set with my Copic Markers and used the accompanying die cuts.

I then die cut my Lawn Fawn hearts from both Neena Solar White and Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red cardstock.

I used the largest Honey Bee Stamps polka dot stencil with a mix of Festive Berries, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.  I saw this fun tutorial by Channin Pelletier wrapping the panel in a clear material and adding flat hearts to make a shaker card. I decided to try it for this card, so fun!

I added all of my images and it is clear that Mae the Mouse has a serious sweet tooth, lol! I added some black and white gel pen detail, glitter and Nuvo drops. To finish off, I added Trinity Stamps Coffee Bean hearts.

Simon Says: With Love!

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: With Love!  The design team is featuring fantastic Simon Says Stamp Brand Exclusive Products! It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I created two projects for this week, I was so inspired by the Simon Says stamp Storybook Dies :)  My first card looks exactly like my beautiful Golden and will double as my Husband's Valentines Day card from his dogs, lol! This was a quick card as it is mostly die cutting.  I used the pattern paper from my December Simon Says stamp card kit, the paper has snowflakes and hearts in the background so appropriate for February!

I die cut my dog from Vanilla Malt cardstock and added some Antique Linen Distress Ink to the edges for some depth. I also die cut the eyes and nose from Black Licorice cardstock. I then die cut my pattern paper using a Stitched Rectangle die and the Simon Says Stamp Thin Frames from some Tonic red specialty cardstock.

I glued my paper to the card base, and added my dog using an action wobbler.

I used the Love you from the Woodland Whimsy stamp set and stamped it on the same Tonic cardstock and white embossed it.  I decided to add a heart (Lawn Fawn) to the dogs mouth. To finish off, I added some red candy hearts!

This Sloth by Simon Says Stamp has my little heart, lol! I die cut him from some felt and put him together.  For my background stamping, I used the Ornate Love set with some Simon Says Stamp Fog ink for a light effect. I trimmed my panel as I wanted a punch of red on either side by using some of my Tonic paper.

I also decided to die cut my Avery Elle circle/hearts from Tonic paper and used it to frame my Sloth!

I used red glitter embossing for my sentiment also from the Ornate Love stamp set and added my elements to the top portion of the panel.  I, again, used a mix of clay and acrylic hearts to finish off!
