Post-Christmas Thank You Card!

Happy Monday! Hope you all had an amazing Christmas! Sharing a post-Christmas thank you card today re-using some of my Christmas dies.

I started by die-cutting all of my elements for the focal point wreath from Tonic Specialty Cardstocks.   For the wreath, I die cut two of the white glitter and two of the gold glitter to fill it well. I also die cut two Thanks, one white and one gold to offset.

I die cut my Vanilla Malt cardstock and embossed it with a 3D embossing folder. I glued my wreath to the panel and added my Buttons Galore sequins to the wreath.  I then added my Eucalyptus dies to the centres (I think this Simon Says Stamp die is one of my favorite purchases from 2019)

I finished off by adding my Thanks and then decided to add the "Many" using a Mama Elephant Tiny Tag die.

Family Christmas Cards!

Happy Friday! My two-week break from the office starts TODAY! I can't wait!  I am so behind in my Christmas paper crafts this year, my husband installed new hardwood floors in the entire house and we left my craft room last, well because I needed to move out of it lol! So it has been a race for the last couple of weeks to get everything done!

Today I am sharing the cards I sent to my aunts and uncles in my home town!  I loved using stencils for these as it was a much more efficient and quick way to make their cards.

The first one above was sent to my favorite aunt who is now living in a care facility. I used an Altenew Stencil for this one and I really like the way it turned out.  They are French Canadian and french sentiments and die cuts are super difficult to find.

For this one above I used the fantastic Simon Says Stamp Joyeux Noel sentiment and a Stencil from my stash. I added some Nuvo drops and some Pretty Pink Posh jewels.

Thanks so much for taking the time! I will share some Christmas gift tags over the next few days.

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I decided this theme was perfect to make my husband's birthday card. He is a January birthday so this will be perfect for him! I started by die cutting my grey woodgrain cardstock with the Simon Says Stamp Repeating Circles die.

My color scheme came from adding the Honey Bee blue Bokeh paper in the background (I love this paper)

I then die cut my balloons from some various Simon Says Stamp glitter paper and some Tim Holtz mirrored cardstock.

Once that was complete, I took my Party Like a Panda set and stamped my party hat and colored it in with my Copic markers in coordinating colors. I put my panel together with the balloons and hat adding some Lawn Fawn twine, I then stamped my smaller sentiments in Navy ink and embossed my Party Time sentiment on a banner with Silver Sparkle embossing powder and added it to the panel.

To finish off, I added some Pretty Pink Posh gems and some snowflakes from my stash and a little bit of Ranger Stickles in Navy sparkle.

Joyful Christmas!

Happy Monday! Last week before the two-week holiday break! I can't wait, this will be needed time off with family and friends.

I do love an aqua Christmas card! I chose to use the beautiful snowflakes from the Simon Says Stamp Comfort and Joy stamp set released last year.  I simply chose a mix of Aqua inks and stamped away. This is a quick card to put together as well, very useful over the holiday season!

I stamped my Honey Bee Joyful sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink and added some Altenew sparkle embossing powder to make it shine, it is really lovely when you angle the card. I masked off the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas and used my darkest Aqua ink.

I then decided to add a few hearts with Simon Says Stamp Silver embossing powder.

To finish off, I added a mix of Tonic Nuvo Drops and some snowflakes from my stash. I also added some Washi tape from my stash that I just love, a tiny strip of Aqua and Silver just topped off the project!

Simon Says: Interactive Christmas featuring Lawn Fawn

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Interactive Christmas! The design team is featuring always super fun Lawn Fawn products! It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

So how fun is this Christmas Fishes set by Lawn Fawn! I mean look at them, so cute! I started by stamping all of the images from that stamp set and colouring them with my Copic Markers and using the accompanying dies cuts.

If you follow my blog or Instagram, you know that I am clearly obsessed with this Brutus Monroe paper and a Distress Oxide background this season!

I used Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Oxide inks for my panel, I added some water with my Distress Sprayer and some Picket Fence Distress Paint - because there is cleary snow under water... lol!

I set my panel aside to dry and added my pattern paper to my card base and embellished my critters using the Lawn Fawn Chunky Glitter my white gel pen and gold gel pen.

Once the panel was dry I die cut my Reveal Wheel Elements and put my card together.

I added my "sand" to the bottom and glued my critters/fishes to the card and that was it!

Honey Bee Gift Card Stockings!

Happy Friday crafty friends! Sharing these super fun and easy gift card holders by Honey Bee today!

These were easy to make and they are going to be such fun over the holidays when giving a gift card!  I started by die cutting my Sunny Studio Pattern Paper with the main stocking die and the insert part with white 110lbs card stock to measure the "gluing area" so the insert would be able to move freely from top to bottom. Once my measurements were taken I glued both parts together with one of my glue tubes and placed my tweezers on either side (I have two pair) to secure them together.

While that dried, I die cut my accompanying elements from Tonic Ruby Ritz and Shamrock glitter card stock and set them aside.  I stamped my sentiment also by Honey Bee with Versamark Ink and added Glitter embossing powder to both using my heat tool to set.

I decided to add the opposing colors of glitter card stock to each gift card holder and I liked the effect.  To finish off, I added some twine and some bells from my stash.  I am so happy with the way they turned out, I will absolutely make more of these in a variety of colors!

Simon Says: Traditional Christmas

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Traditional Christmas! The design team is featuring always amazing Tim Holtz producs! It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

So I chose to use Mr. Snowman by Tim Holtz for my card today. I mean seriously, how adorable is this die set??? And, he is so easy to layer, all the pieces are marked including the color coding. I die cut all of my pieces and put him together using multiple cardstocks (listed below). I went rogue and used my color scheme and not what is suggested, lol!

I have also, as you may have noticed, been obsessed with this Brutus Monroe Candy Cane paper this season. So I lined the sides of my card base with it... again. lol!

I ink blended some Peacock Feather Distress ink and added some Tonic Glitter paste using the Simon Says stamp falling snow stencil. Once that was dry, I decided it needed more snow, so I used my Picket Fence Distress paint with some water and added my flecks and I let it dry

I die cut two stitched snow borders and added them to the bottom of my panel and glued my snowman to the panel.

I used the Tim Holtz sentiment and die cut it from Tonic Scarlett Organza Specialty Paper and added it to the card.

To finish off, I added some red sequins and some white gel pen detail.

Simon Says Stamp DieCember 2019!!!

Happy December 1st! We in the crafty world know that December 1st is the Simon Says Stamp DieCember release!!!

So excited for this release! I got to play with the very versatile Shimmer Wreath for my two projects today. The die set comes with a large stitched circle, the wreath and a double stitched smaller "inner" circle.

I decided to go with a Poinsettia theme for my first card. I backed my die cut with red glitter paper and inserted the green pieces.  I the used the centres of the Simon Says Stamp Poinsettia die and made three smaller poinsettias to add the the wreath.

I used green glitter embossing for the sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Comfort and Joy stamp set.  To finish off, I added the bow from the SSS Candy Cane die in green cardstock.

I glued my panel to a piece of Brutus Monroe paper and then to the card base.  Added some Tonic gold dream drops and some Pretty Pink Posh Christmas Mix sequins.

For this one, I wanted a rainbow ornament that I will use as a gift tag. All of the dies in this new Shimmer Wreath offered me the chance to make a shaker tag! I used Distress Ink for the background piece, added some Lucy's Little Things rainbow sequins and jewels added the Simon Says Stamp Merry Christmas in black cardstock. To finish off, I added black and white twine and some black jewels to the flower centres.

Simon Says: Anything Goes featuring Penny Black Products!

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Anything Goes! The design team is featuring sweet Penny Black products! It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I can't even with the cuteness of this bunny! We currently have one camped out in our back yard (which I just love) so, I decided on this image and colored her in to look like our new "roommate" or  land mate, lol!

I started by stamping my bunny colouring her with my Copic Markers and made sure to make her look like a fuzzy bunny :) I then outlined my snow hill with my grey Copics

I stamped various snowflakes in a mix of Festive Berries Oxide ink and embossing ink. I added both White and Gold embossing powder and heat set everything.  I then ink blended the Festive Berries Oxide Ink starting on either side and coming in lighter in the middle (I did not need a mask for this as I don't actually touch the image. I wiped the excess off the embossed areas and used my Distress Sprayer with water for added texture. Once it was dry, I die cut it using my Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangle die.

I die cut my sentiment from Tonic Harvest Gold Specialty Paper and glued it to the card panel. To finish off, I added some White, Red and Gold Glitter Nuvo Drops and some white gel pen detail.
