Lawn Fawnatics - Favourite Lawn Fawn

Happy Friday crafty friends! Has been difficult finding my post Christmas mojo! I have been relaxing with family and friends over the last week and re-organizing my craft room, I hope you have found some happy downtime. This project is for the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge - Favourite Lawn Fawn.

Ironically enough, when the Fab Flowers set was released last year I was on the fence. Once I bought it I couldn't get enough. I have used it so much that I need to add adhesive to the back of the stamps so they will stay on my blocks or Misti.

I stamped my flowers on different Lawn Fawn card stocks with a mix of Lawn Fawn and Hero Arts die inks and I white embossed some leaves on navy card stock.  Once I die cut my images I decided on a pattern paper from the Perfectly Plaid Rainbow 6 x 6 pack that complemented my colours.

I then decided to pair everything with the Lawn Fawn Love die and the "With" is also from the Fab Flowers set. I took a picture to place everything in the same place and put my card together. I added a few Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to finish the project!

Thanks so much for taking the time! If you want to enter the challenge you have until December 31 at 11:59 p.m.!

Happy New Year!

Hero Arts Naughty and Nice gift tags

Happy Monday! T -4 days in counting before a much needed break for family and friends! I so look forward to the Christmas holidays every year :)

I am so sure many crafters are completing last minute projects as am I.  I made a series of tags using the fun Hero Arts Naughty and Nice Elves sets (I simply love these two sets) and the tree I used for the inner background (two of the tags) is from an older Hero Arts set Winter Time Fun.

Hero Arts was my introduction into card-making all those years ago and I still adore their products.

The shaker tag die is by Avery Elle and I used it for five tags. I mixed the tree and the North Pole sign for the backgrounds and the snow and elves are on the outside of the tags.

I coloured the Elves with Copic markers and used the accompanying dies. For the transparency, I used StazOn White for the snowflakes and the sentiment. The blue tag backgrounds were coloured in with a variety of blue Copic markers as I used Copic friendly inks for the inside images. There is also a variety of shaker materials on the inside of each to compliment the colours of the Elves.

Thanks so much for taking the time!

CFC189 - Dreaming of a White Christmas

Happy Friday crafty friends! One week left to go then two weeks break from work! Can't begin to tell you how much good that will do for my soul to be with family and friends over Christmas! For now, it's time for another fun challenge over at CAS-ual Friday's  Challenge Blog!

This week we are Dreaming of a White Christmas!

I am in my tag making frenzy right now and I thought the CAS-usl Friday's Funky Flakes (my favorite snowflake die cuts) would be perfect. To make the top white snowflake I used glitter embossing powder with some MFT Whip Cream card stock. The bottom is die cut from silver glitter paper, I do love the way the snowflakes looked, more of an elegant tag set.

For the sentiment I used the Hugs from the 3 in a Row set with some Simon Says Stamp grey ink.I toped the tag off with a silver bow and some twine!

CAS-ual Friday's Merry Christmas

Happy Monday crafty friends! My project today features my new favourite Merry Christmas sentiment which a is new from CAS-ual Friday's :)

When I opened this set I knew I had to use it right away, I just love the font!

I decided to go with a more traditional colour palette mixed with kraft card stock.  I used my Ranger red embossing powder for the sentiment once I embossed it I decided on this Mama Elephant frame die.  I then decided to emboss my snowflakes (Snowy Sayings stamp set) with gold glitter embossing powder.

I added some white gel pen to act as more falling snow. For the frame I used the Lawn Fawn Arglye background stamp and used the same gold embossing powder. I finished with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins and a felt piece for the holly.

Thanks so much for taking the time!

Blush and Red Christmas

Happy Wednesday crafty friends! I haven't posted yet this week because my embossing gun died an untimely death on Sunday right in the middle of my Christmas card/tag production! Boo, lol. I ordered another Hero Arts heat tool (that's my favourite) and I ran out for a back-up on Monday evening. So happy, you never know how useful your tools are until they are gone...

Made this one from some new MFT and Memory Box products from this year.

I am loving the new tonic mirror papers. I have picked-up every color and I will have to renew after I finish my holiday projects.  For this one I paired the red and blush (flat colored) card stock and die cut them with new Memory Box stitched snowflakes. Once I decided on the snowflakes the large MFT Merry Christmas stamp seemed like the natural choice.

I die cut my MFT background panel from Whip Cream card stock (also by MFT), I am using this card stock a lot this year. I then used my Ranger Red Glitter embossing powder for the sentiment, I love the effect of the red glitter with the blush and red snowflakes.

To finish off my project, I used some Rose Gold Pretty Pink Posh sequins and some pink gems. Once they were glued in place I used my Red Berry Nuvo drops and my Rose Gold Liquid Pearls on the centre of the snowflakes and around the sequins.

Thanks for taking the time!

CAS-ual Friday's Winter Blues!

Happy Friday crafty friends! Friday means time for another CAS-ual Friday's Challenge! This week it's all about the winter blues!

For my project, I decided on lots o' snow hills for my background using an older stencil and some Distress Oxide Ink in Salty Ocean all on Neena Solar White (80lbs) card stock.  I then used my Distress Sprayer to give the added effect of snow.

I then die cut my Funky Flakes (my favourite go-to snowflakes in my stash) from MFT glitter paper in blue and  silver. Once I glued the flakes together I chose the fantastic Joyeux Noel from the Noel Fri-dies. This is also a go-to die for me as my family is mostly french canadian and good french sentiments are very difficult to find. For the sentiment I used silver mirror paper from Tonic in a fun foam and StickIt sandwich. I put my elements on the card base and to finish off my project, I used mix of sequins in blues and sparkling clear.
