Simon Says: Spring and/or Easter

Hello crafty friends it's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Spring and/or Easter and we are featuring Spellbinders or Stampendous products - it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $25 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

My Wednesday Challenge teammate and amazing designer Barbara Tarayao has done this technique of inking the embossing folder to offset the background color. I loved the effect so much that I wanted to try it.

There was a lot of trial and error, I found the only inks that worked beautifully were the Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated inks. I tried a multitude of other inks and the effects just were not the same. I also think the mid-tone color is best for the effect I was going for.

I started by embossing all three of my panels with the ink on the inside of the folder.
I then cut them with my trimmer for the angled panel, I have not done this in a while and I always love the look of this. I then die cut my Whirl Leaves and my sentiments in coordinating colors and added them to the panel using foam tape.

To finish off, some of my favorite Pink Fresh drops!

Simon Says Stamp Just For You Release Blog Hop - Day 2!

Welcome to day two of the Simon Says Stamp Just For You Release Blog Hop - Day 2! What an amazing release!

Super excited to be taking part in Day 2 of the Blog Hop, complete hop list below!

I just love any of the leaf products from Simon Says Stamp, you will see them incorporated in many of my projects. This Leaf Edges cling stamp went to the top of my favourites list! The cling offers two different leaf edges to add to your cards/projects.  I stamped my leaves using my Versamark ink and used my Simon Says Stamp gold embossing powder.

I did some easy COPIC colouring alternating with green and teal colours. I decided to die cut my panel using one of my favourite Simon Says Stamp die set, the largest A2 Marquee Wafer die. I then  picked dark teal and gold card stock to die cut the new Sending Love wafer dies and added it to the panel using foam tape.

To finish off, some Pink Fresh Aqua Glitter drops!

Simon Says: Recycle It

Hello crafty friends it's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Recycle It and we are featuring always Impression Obsession products - it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

I just love this Big Wishes die by Impression Obsession! I have used it so much, a must for my stash - the scale is so fun!

I started by die cutting my Abstract Flowers in different coloured card stocks and ink blended the edges for added dimension and set them aside. I then 3D Embossed my background panel.

I decided to die cut my Big Wishes die from Tonic Black Glitter paper so it would really pop! I then went through my pile of pre cut items and found this gorgeous Pink and Main gold frame and decided to recycle that for my card. I absolutely love the way the frame works with the flowers and sentiment.

To finish off, I added some matte gold pearls tony flower centres and a black clay heart above the "i"

Simon Says: Tag It!

Hello crafty friends it's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $25 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I do love making tags and Easter is almost upon us so I worked ahead with these :) I started by diecutting my tags using my favourite Modascrap die and then stencilled each one with a different Tim Holtz stencil (all linked below) and Distress inks in "easter" colors.

I then stamped my eggs by Sunny Studio and die cut them and added them to the tag using foam tape. I stamped my happy easter sentiment (by Simon Says Stamp)

I felt there was something missing so I added some gold leaves from the Simon Says Stamp Delicate  Leafy Brach die. I finished everything off with some Pink Fresh Glitter Gems and ribbon and twine from my stash!

Simon Says: Slimline Cards!

Hello crafty friends it's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Slimline Cards and we are featuring always super fun Whimsy Stamps products - it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $25 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I love me some Whimsy Stamps products! I love these Fluff Butt stamps and dies by Whimsy illustrated by Dustin Pike. I have haven't had a chance to use them yet so this was the perfect time!

I stamped and coloured two of the bunnies from the set (used my COPIC markers) and die cut them with the accompanying dies. Set them aside and ink blended my panel using pastel Distress Inks.

I then die cut my frame using two of the Victorian Layers dies and a vellum backing piece and glued everything to my panel. I added my bunnies using foam tape for dimension.

For my sentiments, I used one from the Fluff Butt stamp set and I adapted the s'Up from the newer Slirp Word dies and added them to the panel also using foam tape.

To finish off, some amazing Pink Fresh Studio Iridescent Clear drops and white gel pen detail.

Simon Says: Anything Goes featuring Gina K. Designs!

Hello crafty friends it's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Anything Goes and we are featuring always amazing Gina K. Designs products - it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $25 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I love this Fancy Feathers Stamp and Die set by Gina K. I just love the patterns in the leaves. I started by stamping on rainbow card stock from my stash and die cut my top leaves using matte gold  card stock. I decided to use a Slimline panel die to be able to use all of my colors.

I aligned everything with my Birthday die and stared gluing my elements. Once that was done and they were secure and dry, I cut the excess off the sides.

I die cut my Birthday from gold and black card stock and glued them together on the panel. I also die cut the happy from the same card stock and added it to the panel. To finish off, some Matte Gold Pearls by Pink Fresh Studios!

I am obsessed with all my Simon Says Stamp 3D embossing folders, they offer so much dimension to a background/card. This one is called Minted Florals and I had not had a chance to use it yet.

Once embossed, I lightly ink blended on the tops of the flowers and set my panel aside once I was happy wth my blend.

I took my new Love you Very Much die and die cut my pieces and glued them together. I took this gold twine from my stash and added it to the back of my die using foam tape and placed it on my panel.

To finish off, I added some of these Pink Fresh Studios Magenta Glitter Drops.
