Peaceful Reverie

Happy Thursday! I am sincerely in LOVE with this Altenew Peaceful Reverie stamp set! I had fun making my own backgrounds with it over the weekend :)

The bright colors on this one make me happy! I used Lawn Fawn Ink on both cards. Once I was done stamping I die cut both panels using my Mama Elephant Cloud Nine Stitched die.

I also used my new MFT Hello die for my main sentiment die cut in Simon Says Stamp Lavender Cardstock for the top and Lawn Fawn Black Licorice for the coral and pink card.

The gold backer piece is by Tonic and the friend sentiment is from a Lawn Fawn set I finished off both cards with some Nuvo drops (listed below)

I am super happy with the way they turned out!

Simon Says: Anything Goes featuring Stampendous!

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Anything Goes! The design team is featuring Stampendous products this week!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

My inspiration for this card was absolutely the fun Yoga Frogs by Stampendous. I had to use this set, I love a good power yoga class and these frogs are the most fun! I started by stamping my images on the forefront and stamped them again on a Simon Says Stamp masking sheet. I cut the masks, covered the images and stamped the remaining for my little scene.

I left all the masks and ink blended my clouds, once that was complete I used some PostIt tape to color in my water with my Copic markers. I then coloured my images.

I used Mowed Lawn Oxide for the blades of grass to have more concentrated color and added some extra blades with my G14 (medium Copic shade).

I felt the scene needed a few more elements so I went to my Lawn Fawn Toadally Awesome set stamped and colored the accompanying images. I also added some die cut Lawn Fawn flowers in and around my scene. To finish off the flower centres I used Pretty Pink Posh Jewels. I also added them around the scene. I added google eyes to my frog some white gel pen detail and some glossy accents!

Simon Says: Travel/Vacation

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Travel/Vacation! The design team is featuring always amazing Lawn Fawn products!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I had such fun making this one using the newest Lawn Fawn release! I started by die-cutting all of my elements - the frame the toppers to the palm trees and the hammock all in Lawn Fawn cardstocks (products listed below).  I then took a piece of Neena solar white and blended my clouds and my water.

I then took my frame and blended my sand and also did some light blending on my trees parts.  I glued all of the additional elements to the frame. Once my background was dry, I took my stamping tool and stamped my sentiment.

I picked my images and coloured them in with my Copic markers and used the accompanying dies. I glued my frame to the panel and placed all of my images and glued them once I was happy with placement.

I added some white gel pen detail and some Gathered Twigs Distress Marker dots to the sand and the coconuts. To finish off, I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins!

Always be a Mermaid!

Happy Monday! I have rediscovered this fabulous Simon Says Stamp mermaid stamp set that was released last summer! I just love the images and sentiments in this set!

I don't have the dies, so there was a lot of masking on this project! I stamped the images on the forefront first and created masks to then stamp my mermaid. I created a mask for her as well and one for the bottom after blending my Gathered Twigs and Antique Linen Distress Oxide. I went in with my Distress Oxide in Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Blueprint sketch. Once that was done, I added some water droplets with my Distress Spayer. Once that was dry I went in with a Hungry Heffy stencil and added some Glitter paste.

I removed my masks quickly so that the paste would not adhere them permanently.  I coloured my images with my Copic markers and added some Gathered Twigs Distress Marker and White Gel pen detail to the bottom and a little white gel pen to the images as well.

For my sentiment, I stamped and embossed it in white on a Simon Says Stamp small tag die cut from Lawn Fawn Mermaid Paper.

I added the sentiment with some twine and secured it with foam tape. To finish off I added my favorite Iridescent Bubbles by Studio Katia!

Simon Says: Wedding/Anniversary

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Wedding/Anniversary! The design team is featuring always fantastic Simon Says Stamp Brand Exclusive products!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I chose the gorgeous Cosmo Flower for my wedding card today, I love these flower dies by Simon Says Stamp!  I used Neena 110lbs cardstock and die cut the image using my Gemini

I decided that a shaker card with one of my heart sequin mixes would be super fun.  For my backing paper, I used the Tonic Burnished Rose specialty paper.

I glued my acetate to the back and used two layers of foam tape to offer the best movement for my sequins.  I used Lawn Fawn Rose Gold embossing powder for my sentiment from the new Leafy Frames stamp set.

Once the shaker was put together, I added the beautiful Espresso Jewels by Pretty Pink Posh in the centre of the flower. To finish off, I added a few red hearts to frame the sentiment.

MFT Father's Day Card :)

Happy Tuesday crafty friends! Sharing a fun Father's Day Card featuring a pup that looks just like my Duffy :)

This was such a quick and fun card to make! I give my parents a card from my husband and I and a second special card from  our pets for every occasion, lol! I decided to feature the new MFT Puppy Love Die-namics.

I left all the dies together and simply die cut every thing from cream, black and pink cardstocks (all Lawn Fawn cardstock) and put my puppy together. I added an action wobbler to his head, so sweet in real life :)

I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Woodgrain die with some Neena Desert Storm heavy weigh cardstock and lightly added some Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.  I then stamped my "Happy" sentiment by Lawn Fawn directly on the panel and the Father's Day is by Clearly Besotted.

To finish off my card, I added some white gel pen detail, glossy accents and some hearts!

Simon Says Stamp: Rest and Refresh!

Today is release day for Simon Says Stamp's Rest and Refresh!

I had such fun playing with the new Round and Round background cling stamp for my card today!

I started by stamping my background stamp on both panels and embossing one in white and the other in gold. I knew I wanted to use my Oxide Inks on both, for the white embossing I chose Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch. For the gold, I went with Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral. Once that was complete I chose the beautiful Mermaid set by Simon Says Stamp for the blue panel - it made me think of water :)

I coloured her in with my Copic markers and fussy cut her out because I don't have the dies yet. I foam taped her to the centre of the card and added a simple sentiment from the same mermaid stamp set. To finish off I added my favorite Studio Katia Iridescent Bubbles.

For this card, I felt it was classyish so I opted for a simple sentiment grouping. The Friend die cut is also by Simon Says Stamp and the accompanying sentiment is also from the mermaid set. I finished this one with Some Pretty Pink Posh Jewels!

Simon Says: Masculine

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Masculine! The design team is featuring always fantastic Tim Holtz. products!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

As you can see, I decided to make my Dad his Father's Day card for this weeks challenge. He had open heart surgery last fall, it went better than expected but like any invasive surgery it is a work in progress. So I go over and visit and we have a beer together. I thought this was a super fun card for him.

I took the Tim Holtz Beer Blueprints and stamped and colored the images with my Copic markers and then fussy cut them.

I placed them on my panel so that I could cut my piece to size and then used an Altenew Stencil and lightly blended some Simon Says Stamp Smoke ink on the background.  I cut a piece of Tonic gold specialty paper and added that to the back of the panel and a piece of the MFT black stripe direct to the card base.

I put all of my elements together and added glossy accents to the glass and the bottle. I also added some of my puffy snow product to the foam on the beer.

The Dad die cut is from my stash and I can't seem to find the company, I die cut it five times from black cardstock and glued them to the panel.  I finished it all off with some red candy hearts :)
