Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I just had to use this gorgeous Sketched Flower by Simon Says Stamp. I am in LOVE with that stamp set.  I used my Misti Stamping Tool to stamp my flower and colored in the flowers with my Faber Castel Polychromos (another love of mine!) This was such a relaxing process and I simply adore those pencils.

Once I was done coloring I put my Neena Desert Storm piece back in my Misti and stamped my flower again with Versamerk ink and embossed my gold powder. I love the effect of gold embossing powder on Kraft. I then die cut my panel using the Mama Elephant Cloud Nine frame die.  I chose a sentiment from the MFT Woodland Creatures set and stamped it on a Lawn Fawn Banner die cut from Black Licorice cardstock.

Once that was complete I used foam tape for my sentiment banner and then glued my panel to a card base.  To finish off the card I added some Pretty Pink Posh gold sequins in both 4 and 6 mm.

I added some gel pen detail to my background and that was it. I am super happy with the way it turned out and this one is in the mail to a dear friend.

Bling it out!

Happy Monday! I have not participated in a challenge is such a long time! When I saw the current Lawnfawnatics Challenge was Bling it Out I just had to play.

I picked-up these Lawn Fawn Stitched Ornament dies last year and I never had a chance to play with them. I thought this would be a fun challenge to finally break them out. I die cut six ornaments (for the front and back) from Lawn Fawn Vanilla Malt cardstock.

I then die cut the fronts with the medium and large stitched "x" die from the same ornament set.I also used the new Lawn Fawn Glitter cardstock and die cut the diamond shape banner and the hearts banner and the toppers. Once those were glued to the tags I stamped my sentiment from the Reveal Wheel Christmas sentiments set in coordinating glitter embossing powders

To finish off the tag and to add some more "bling" I used some diamond dust on the tops and bottoms and finished them all off with Pretty Pink Posh Jewels in coordinating colors.

Fall flower with color inspiration!

Happy Wednesday! I am over at A Blog Named Hero this morning sharing a fall flower inspired by the beautiful color palette for the current challenge!

Look at the gorgeous fall colors on this photo! Such fun to work with because it got me out of my comfort zone!

I decided to use a stamp set by Hero Arts that I love and haven't used in a while - Marianne's Flowers!

I die cut my panel using the Rounded Rectangle dies (they have become a staple in my stash). I then used my stamp positioner and stamped my flower using Copic friendly ink. I used RV99, RV69, RV66, RV63 for the plum color and YR09, YR04 and YR00 for the orange. I used YG's for the leaves as they have a brownish base - YG99, YG93 and YG91.

I then used the Crossing Waves Stencil with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink using a very light hand and I did not need to re-ink my blending tool.

I then used the Wonderful Stamp and Cut with some specialty plum paper and stamped the You Are from the same set.  I finished off the card with a scattering of complimentary sequin colors and added white gel detail.

You still have time to join in on the challenge!
Thanks so much for taking the time!

Simon Says: Halloween/Spooky!

Happy Wednesday crafty friends that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Halloween/Spooky! The design team is featuring Echo Park products, it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I used a mix of fun Halloween products for my card - the fantastic sentiment "Haunted Halloween Word Die Set" and stencil "Spider Cobwebs" are by Echo Park. I started by priming my stencil with Versamark ink, I then added two sided tape to my base panel and place the stencil on top.

I then spread my purple glitter to the taped panel and burnished it in with my bone folder.  I removed my stencil (the Versamark makes this so easy) leaving an area to spread my black glitter and then I burnished the entire panel.  I love the effect it gives and by burnishing the glitter it stays glued super well.

I pulled out some older Lawn Fawn Halloween sets colored in my haunted house, pumpkin and ghost with Copics.  I die cut the Lawn Fawn fence die from their last release and added some glitter embossing to the dark grey cardstock.

I then die cut my Echo Park Spooky Halloween sentiment and used it as a guide to place my elements on the card panel. Once that was all glued, I adhered the sentiment. I finished off by adding some white gel pen detail to my images!

Fall scene with MFT

Happy Monday crafty friends. I am sharing a fall inspired card today using some MFT products!

I started with the gorgeous Fall Friends stamp set and lots o' masking! I just adore the two squirrels in the set, they are just too cute!

I set up my scene first and then took out my stamping tool. I stamped all of the images on the forefront and stamped them again on full sticky PostIt notes and cut them out. I followed the same process until all of my images were stamped.

I colored everything with Copics markers. Once that was complete I took my Stencil Cloud also by MFT and some Stormy Sky Oxide ink. I inked over my background with a light hand making sure I didn't get any on my colored images. I did the same with the grass stencil and once that was complete I felt that I needed some more blades of grass so I added them in with my Copics.

For the sentiment, I used an Avery Elle thanks die with some gorgeous Tonic plum colored paper. I finished off the card with some white gel pen detail and some Fun-Fetti hearts by CAS-ual Fridays.

Thanks so much for taking the time! Have a great week!

Joy Ormanments!

Happy Friday crafty friends! I had such fun playing with the new Mama Elephant Joy Ornaments and some new Altenew Washi tape!

My inspiration for this project came from the gorgeous Altenew washi tape! When I picked them up, I placed a bunch of them on card bases because I was just anxious to see what they looked like! So for this one, I decided to break out my Mama Elephant Joy Ornaments (I love this stamp set).

I stamped my ornaments on a piece of Neena 80lbs cardstock and used red Copics that had a pink base to work with the Washi shades - R59, R39, R37, R35 and R32.  Once that was complete, I die cut another piece of Neena using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Border Die and cut the excess with my paper trimmer.  I placed my "joy" to see where to stamp and emboss my snowflakes. Once my embossing was complete, I mounted my white panel on the card base with fun foam.

I then stamped and embossed the ornament string and topped the ornament with a silver topper using Simon Says stamp silver glitter paper.  I added some white gel pen detail and my secondary sentiment on the bottom of the ornament. I then scattered some Pretty Pink Posh silver sequins.

Thanks for taking the time, all the products are listed and linked below!

Simon Says: Animal Antics!

Happy Wednesday crafty friends that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Animal Antics! The design team is featuring Hello Bluebird products, it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I used the fantastic Otter Friends stamps and dies for my project today, I mean, just look at those faces :)  I started by stamping all of my images from the set on Neena 80lbs cardstock and used my Copic markers in the E7 family.  I find the taupe/brown works great for Otters. I also colored the little fish from the same set.

I die cut all of my elements and inked another Neena panel lightly with Salty Ocean Distress Ink and the MFT Wave Stencil and then sprayed a little water on the ink for more texture.

Once that was complete and set aside to dry, I picked this beautiful Tonic paper and die cut it using a Mama Elephant frame die I also die cut my background piece with the same die for the centre piece to fit in perfectly.

I stamped my sentiment on the base panel and I place my background piece and added my sequins on top. I then added my acetate and foam tape to my frame and put my card together!

A Blog Named Hero - Fall Color Palette!

Happy Monday crafty friends! It's the 15th of the month and that means it's time for a fun new A Blog Named Hero Challenge!
This month we are playing with a gorgeous color palette!

I love fall, it's my favorite season. The colors, the sweaters to ward off the chill it is simply fantastic.

I used some of my favorite newer Hero Arts products for my card - the Bold Blossoms for Coloring stand alone flowers and background stamp! I love the modern lines of these flowers so much.

I started by stamping my background stamp on Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock using Versamark ink and gold embossing powder.  I heat set my powder and proceeded to ink blend Seedless Preserves, Rusty Hinge and Ripe Persimmon Distress Inks on the background. Once that was complete I used my Distress Sprayer for some added texture. I also wiped off any excess ink on the gold embossing to make it shine.

I used my Copic markers for the flowers using RV99, RV69, RV66 and RV63 for the plum color and YR09, YR04 and YR00 for the orange.

I die cut the flowers and foam mounted them on the accompanying flower on the background. I then die cut my Hello from the Hero Arts Hello Stamp and Cut in both plum and gold specialty cardstock. I offset them and glued them to the panel.  To finish off my project, I used a mix of Nuvo Drops in matching colors and added white gel pen highlights.

Thanks so much for taking the time! Go check out the challenge
