Re-discovering older products!

Happy Friday crafty friends! With everything going on and all of our favorite retailers needing (appropriately so) to take care of the safety of their staff I am finding myself re-discovering older products that I haven't played with in a while!

Perfect time to go through your stash and find old favorites that still need some love! I paired this Penny Black die cut with a new Simon Says Stamp hearts stencil and Polkadoodles paper from a Simon Says Stamp card kit.

I started by die cutting my flower and ink blending some Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Oxides.  To give a bit more definition I used my Polychromos pencils.

I then used my flowers as a guide for my selected stencilling with Worn Lipstick Oxide Ink. I then took a favorite MFT Border die and cut my panel. I glued my pattern paper to the card base and added my top panel with Fun Foam.  I used a Simon Says Stamp sentiment designed by Kristina Werner.

To finish off, I added some Studio Katia Jewels and a wood heart.

Simon Says: Anything Goes featuring Gina K. Designs!

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! I hope you are all at home safe!

This week Simon Says: Anything Goes!  The design team is featuring Gina K. Design Products! It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I started by stamping and coloring my poppies by Gina K. Designs using my Copic markers. I die cut my floral panel with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Oval die. I then stamped my sentiment from the Gina K. Scripty Sayings 2 stamp set.

I added some shading with Salty Ocean Distress Ink around the oval. I chose Lawn Fawn Raspberry cardstock and die cut it using the Rectangle Stitched dies and the same Stitched Oval die.  I felt the panel needed a little something so I used my Honey Bee background builder stamp set with my Lawn Fawn Raspberry Ink.

I put my card together and added the Simon Says Stamp friend die with Black Licorice cardstock and Simon Says Stamp glitter paper.  To finish off, I added some Studio Katia jewels and some gold Tonic Dream Drops.

Rainbow Wreath inspired by Laura Bassen!

Happy Tuesday crafty friends! This card is a CASE of a Laura Bassen card that I completely fell in love with. She used Simon Says Stamp Stencils from their last release, I chose stamps that I had in my stash by Paper Smooches.

The stamp itself has a natural curve, which made freehand stamping a little easier. I drew a circle with a light pencil to help with the positioning. I trimmed the panel and used my corner chomper on two of the corners.

For my sentiments, I chose the Honey Bee Friendship stamp and die set. I used black and white for the nice pop with the rainbow.

To finish off, I used Pretty Pink Posh Jewels in rainbow colors and a black clay heart.

Simon Says: Whatever the Weather featuring Lawn Fawn!

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Whatever the Weather!  The design team is featuring always super fun Lawn Fawn Products! It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I just love making scene cards and I realized that it had been a while since I made one.  I took the theme literally for Whatever the Weather, this is literally Montreal lately but signs of Spring are earlier than normal this year even with everything going on the sun and smell of spring are in the air.  There is alway a light at the end of the tunnel!

I used a huge mix of Lawn Fawn products today, the Leafy Tree die was my starting point and then I decided to use this bunny from the Butterfly Kisses set because we have our own Jack Rabbit in the back yard who has clearly decided to adopt us (at least the yard). He has been around since October so he was the inspiration image for me.

I did some ink blending with Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks on the tree and "land". I masked my background die and used my faithful Hero Arts woodblock woodgrain background die for the tree.

I die cut the remainder of my elements, used my cloud stencil on the background panel and put my card together.

To finish off, I added my snow pen with some Lawn Fawn Chunky Glitter my Tonic raindrop jewels.

Springtime Flowers - Hello Sweet Friend!

Happy Monday crafty friends! At home keeping a safe social distance this week from everyone but my dogs and my husband! My card today features all kinds of different companies but they are all among my favorites!

I used products by Simon Says sTamp, My Favorite Things, Mama Elephant, Lawn Fawn, Doodlebug and Studio Katia gems. Also, I used a mix of colored inks from many different companies.

The Doodlebug Pattern paper was my inspiration for this card, I chose my inks around the paper colors to stamp my Lawn Fawn florals and leaves.

I die cut my panel from the Mama Elephant Cloud nine die and the stitched scallop circle is by MFT. I feel it showcased the pattern paper hearts beautifully.

I used foam tape for the top panel and added it to the pattern paper. I glued my flowers and leaves with a mix of foam tape and Lawn Fawn glue.  I chose bold black sentiments to ground all of the color. The Hello die is by Simon Says Stamp and the Sweet Friend sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

To finish off, I added the Studio Katia gems, some black clay hearts and a mix of Tonic Crystal and Jewel drops.

Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit

Happy Monday crafty friends! I received my Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit last week, I LOVE this kit. Many of my friends live large distances away so this kit is ideal to reconnect with some snail mail!

The color palette was defined by the gorgeous papers in the kit which I used for the paper strip on the side and the same one for the shadow on the Simon Says Stamp Friend die.  I stamped my images on a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock because I wanted to try the watercolor pencils that came in the kit. I stamped and embossed my images and used the turquoise color in the box with one of my water pens.

I put my panel in the Misti and stamped my sentient also from the 6 x 8 stamp set in the kit. I then die cut my panel using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Border die and trimmed the excess. I then die cut my Friend die using Tonic Harvest Gold paper.

I added my strip of pattern paper to the card base along with my favorite Gold Washi by Altenew and the glued my panel on top. To finish off, I added some Sparkling Clear Sequins by Pretty Pink Posh.

Simon Says: Something Feminine!

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Something Feminine!  The design team is featuring Polkadoodles Products! It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

I had fun changing things up for this card, I rarely layer so much in my projects but I so enjoyed this process.  The super fun Ruby Celebrations stamp set let me practice my Copic hair and skin tones. That's why I opted for red hair as it is the most difficult for me to find the right mix. I mixed some E and YR families for the hair and I am happy with the results.

Once I coloured the image in, I added some Shaded Lilac and Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink for the clouds and grass. I then die cut the panel using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Border Die.

I matched the colors of her dress and balloon with the Polkadoodle pattern paper that I chose for this card and die cut the panel with a Stitched Rectangle die.

I decided to add a small strip of Simon Says stamp glitter cardstock to the sides accompanied by an orange strip to match the pattern paper.  To finish off, I added some White gel pen details and some sequins and a flower to her hair.
