Hero Arts Large Orchid

I love layering stamp sets and strangely enough this is my first one! The Layering Large Orchid by Hero Arts is just beautiful! My best girlfriend loves Orchids and purple is her favourite colour, she is a March birthday so I made this one for her.  I will also submit it to the current Hero Arts Fabulous Flowers Challenge.

I love to colour but I must say this layering with ink is so fun and I, personally, find it gives a stunning effect.  I made a template with various inks and for this card I preferred this mix. My base ink is Hero Arts Soft Vanilla (love this colour) I then used SSS Hot Mama and Blue Violet and for the centre of the flower I used Hero Arts Butter Bar (another favourite of mine).  I used Hero Arts Green Hills ink for the stem which I stamped twice to make the Orchid longer. I then stamped a birthday sentiment from the Hero Arts It's Your Day, a mix of sequins and some white gell pen.

Happy Sunday! Thanks for taking the time!

Fabulous Flowers!

I have always loved Hero Arts Flowers! The new release includes so many beautiful flowers. I am loving the Antique Rose Stem woodblock stamp. What is it with a good woodblock stamp? Not many companies making these anymore and they are still my favourites. This card is for a special friends birthday and I am submitting it to the current Hero Arts Challenge - Fabulous Flowers.

Products:

Hero Arts Antique Rose Stem - I stamped it with Antique Linen Distress Ink making it a faint outline on Stratford Bristol Paper so that I could use my Zig Clean Color Brush Pens. I have always struggled with watercolour and I have purchased almost every watercolour product out there! When I first tried the Zig pens  I completely fell in love especially when used with Bristol Paper.  For the flower I used 028, 200 and 202, once I began the faint Antique Linen Distress slowly disappeared making it possible for me to create my own flower centre which at first stressed me out lol! But I like the way it turned out.  For the leaves I used 041, 044 and 048 (Greens). I used my water brush to smooth everything out. I then used the Happy (Mama Elephant) and die cut the original panel and four others in black cardstock to make the white pop. The Birthday sentiment which I white embossed is from Hero Arts It's Your Day. PPP sequins and some white dots with my gell pen to finish it off!

Thanks for taking the time!

Avery Elle Gummy Bear!

The challenge this month over at AEIheartU is Friendship! I just fell in love with the Avery Elle Beary Sweet Wishes set, who doesn't love a good gummy bear!

I started with Tim Holtz watercolor paper and die cut the panel with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitched rectangle die. I then die cut the centre with an oval die.  I white embossed (Zing powder) the Sweet from the Avery Elle Celebrate set repeatedly, once the powder was set I used Distress Inks (Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers) I then sprayed the background with my Distress Sprayer. While that dried I embossed the oval with my new We R Memory Keepers next level embossing folder (love it). I stamped my gummy bear with MFT hybrid black ink and Copic coloured him with BG 000, BG10, BG11 and BG13 and used glossy accents.  For the sentiment I used the Hi and Friend from the Ellie stamp set (also Avery Elle) and the Sweet once more from Celebrate. The lime embossing powder is by Ranger. I put everything together and finished with PPP sequins.

Thanks for taking the time and Happy Sunday :)

Lawn Fawn Valentine!

I had fun with this one, I used two sets from Lawn Fawn: Clear to See, You Turn Me On and the Argyle border stamp for the card base for this Valentine's Day Card!

I started with the light bulb and light switch from You Turn Me On and I thought the glasses from Clear to See would be cute. I framed the two images with a series of Lawn Fawn small hearts and stars with red and gold inks and some PPP sequins. The sentiment is from Clear to See and the inside says "You are the one for me!"

Thanks for taking the time!
