A Blog Named Hero - Love is in the Air!

Happy Sunday Crafty Friends! I am over at A Blog Named Hero Today with some inspiration for the current challenge!

For my card today, I decided to play with the fantastic Hero Arts Watercolors! I took a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor paper and started by adding three drops direct to paper of the HA Pink Watercolor and sprayed water to help with the movement using my Distress Sprayer. I decided to add some HA Strawberry Watercolor ink using the same method to deepen the color and I also added some Distress Paint in Antique Bronze also using the same technique.

Once that was dry, I dry embossed my Love Confetti die and added some "splatter" with the same Distress Paint and added the Picket Fence and Black Soot. I put that aside to dry once more.

I took my New Day Butterflies and stamped the second largest with Versamark ink and used my rose gold embossing powder. I was careful in using my Copic markers so as not to harm my nibs and remove my embossing. I then used the accompanying die.

I took my Tonic mirror cardstock and die cut the Wonderful. I also embossed my secondary sentiment using the same rose gold embossing powder and die cut it from a banner die.

I placed all of my elements on the card panel and added some black Nuvo drops to the Butterfly. I also finished off the card with some rose gold sequins with Nuvo White Blizzard glitter drops in the centres.

A Blog Named Hero Birthday Cards Challenge!

Time for a new challenge over at A Blog Named Hero!!!
The theme is all about birthdays :) I don't know about you but I can never have enough birthday cards on-hand!

I am in love with the Hero Arts Magnolia stamp so, of course, that was my starting point! I stamped it on Kraft paper with MFT Kraft Hybrid Ink so that I could use my Polychormos pencils (another love of mine in my craft room) I hadn't planned on a color scheme I just picked a few of my favorites and I ended up with a magenta ish flower.

To add some dimension in the middle I used Dandelion Nuvo drops and a brown marker. I set my flower aside to dry and decided on the Rounded Rectangles by Hero Arts for my panel. I then masked off the sides with some PostIt tape and ink blended some Hero Arts Bubble Gum Ink as it matched my lighter pink on the flower.

For my sentiment, I used the Wonderful Stamp and Cut both the stamps and die.  I chose the Simon Says Stamp Magenta Glitter paper for my die and it worked beautifully with the darker flower color. I then foam mounded my panel on a Neena 110lbs card base and once the flower was completely dry I added to the lower right hand corner!

Thanks for taking the time!
