Christmas Tags... Already!

So, please don't be upset with me for featuring Christmas tags already! Lol. I just could't resist playing with these new Avery Elle stamps!

Ugh, aren't the cat and dog too sweet! I am a huge animal lover and when buying stamps if they feature any kind of critter I am there! I Copic coloured my images from Dear Santa and Happy Howl-idays I then used sentiments from Dear Santa for both tags. I used MFT Hybrid Inks in Black, Wild Cherry and Gumdrop Green to match my Christmas colours. I also used images from Retro Ornaments, also by Avery Elle for the (I guess snowflakes) on the cat tag and I used SSS Maliblue Ink for the snowflakes on both. For accents I used Gellyroller pens in white, black and clear star.

Thanks for taking the time!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge - CFC156

Time for a new challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays :) CFC156 Dimension and Bling!!!

I think I am happily obsessed with the Pretty Posies stamp set by CAS-ual Fridays. I just love the lines of these flowers!  I used my Zig Clean Color markers for this one with purples! Rare for me, lol!  The smaller of the two sentiments is also from Pretty Posies that I embossed in white on black cardstock. I then die cut two of the Thanks sentiment from the Smiling Fri-dies in black and in purple glitter cardstock. I poped-up my flower on the card with foam tape for dimension and did the same to the leaf but only on the end to curl it up a little. I then finished it off with some sequins for bling! I then felt the Thanks was a bit washed out so I used my white gellyroller to add a little dimension on the black!

Lawn Fawn - Jump for Joy it's almost fall!

I don't know if any of you feel this way at the end of summer, but finding my card mojo seems to be difficult!!! I got my new Lawn Fawn products over the last few weeks and took the long weekend to try and find my crafting mojo!

Fall is my favourite season and this new collection suits me just fine!!!

Felt good to get back into my studio and get my hands dirty with some Distress Inks! :) I used the new Jump for Joy stamps and dies as well as the Leafy Tree Backdrop (portrait).  I die cut one panel from the 6x6 perfectly plaid paper and a second from watercolour cardstock. I applied a mix of brown Distress inks to the tree then sprayed some water for the splotches, I then re-applied a bit more Distress Ink to give it more depth. I did the same for the sky background (blue inks) and the "grass" hill. I glued my tree onto the full plaid Leafy Tree.  I stamped my critters and leaves on Neena 80lbs and coloured them with Copics. Put the card together and decided to make a shaker out of it with a mix of sequins!

Thanks for taking the time!

New Challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays - CFC155

Happy Friyay!!! My first week back to work after a months vacation... I was happy to come back but I must say the "getting back into it" was difficult! So I am happy for a new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge - CFC155 and the theme is Black, White +1(color of your choice). I have also found that getting my card mojo back has been difficult after being away, lol!

I started by trimming a white panel (Neena 80lbs) and using Abandoned Coral Distress Ink all over. I then cut the panel at ban angle and stamped the Bravo sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I die cut my flowers (4 petal Fri-Dies) in a variety of white, black glitter paper and a black and white stripe. I then stamped my striped background put everything together and added my petals and some sequins!

Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge!

I have been on vacation for the last couple of weeks and I have been taking a blog break as well! Not planned but lots of travel and seeing family and friends! Here is a quick card that I made for the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge - Embossing!

I used my copper embossing powder, I have always loved the finish but now I want to get my hands on some rose gold embossing! So pretty and it is on my wish list!  I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens with the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Ranunculus set. I fussy cut the leaves and Ranunculi? (not sure lol) then laid out my flowers and leaves to stamp the remaining background "fillers".  I embossed the sentiment with he same powder on black cardstock put it all together and added Pretty Pink Posh sequins :)

Thanks for taking the time!!

CFC154 - Time to Color!

It's time to color over at the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge!!! I love to color, my favourite mediums are Copics, Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and Prismacolor Pencils! I used my Prismacolor on Kraft for this one and I love the way it turned out!

I adore the Pretty Posies stamp set! I thought using the flowers and outlining them in white would really feature the beautiful design of the flowers and leaves.  The sentiment is from Calling All Sistahs, this, I must say, is one of the reasons I love CAS-ual Fridays stamps. There is an underlining "support your ladies" theme for all of Michelle's sets of which I am a big fan.  Most of the cards I make for my best girlfriends have CAS-ual Friday's sentiments. Let's face it we all need encouragement in one way or another at certain points in our lives. I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink and outlined it freehand in white pencil to emphasize it. This card will go in the mail to a friend who lives far away but is facing a difficult decision.

Tim Holtz Dog Crazy - Loki

I have been away on vacation over the last few weeks. I have had a wonderful time with family, friends and some fun travel. Always nice to re-charge the batteries before the start of another year of intense work! So, I took a little bit of a blog break.  I was so excited to pick-up this fantastic Dog Crazy set by Tim Holtz and start playing!

I am in-love with these "Crazy" sets by Tim Holtz. This is a birthday card for my best guy friend and it's his dog Loki :)  I paired Loki with the Crazy Accessories also by Tim Holtz, everything is coloured with Copics. The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set, I wanted a small sentiment so the focus could all be on the dog!!

Thanks for taking the time!!
