Simon Says: Whatever the Weather!

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

This week Simon Says: Whatever the Weather! The design team is featuring amazing Sunny Studio Stamps products!  It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $50 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

So, I created my card last weekend as I watching another snowstorm in Montréal out my craft room window,  lol. Hence, the inspiration for my Whatever the Weather project! Plus, I really love these Warm and Cozy Snippets dies by Sunny Studio.

I choose my papers first from the Sunny Studio Jewel Paper Pack with coordinating Tonic Glitter paper from my stash. I then decided to use the Lawn Fawn Vanilla Malt paper, I felt it would be softer than white.

I die cut all of my papers using the Simon Says Stamp Frames set because I wanted to inlay all of the different frames and embossed my inner most panel with the Sunny Studio Quilted Hearts Embossing folder from their last release.

Once that was done I set my panel aside and started die cutting all of my elements from a mix of felt, cardstock and glitter paper.  I then used my new banner dies by Lawn Fawn and die cut my papers and white embossed my sentiment which is a mix of Sunny Studio Happy Thought and Simon Says Exclusive set (linked below).

I placed all of my elements on the base panel, added some Lawn Trimmings to my mittens and then added the sentiment banner.  I finished off my card with Pretty Pink Posh Winter Sparkle Mix.

  2. Kim ~ Your card is SUPER CUTE!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! I am especially happy, as I own the Warm and Cozy Snippets set, so the inspiration is AWESOME!

I would love to know what adhesive you used when gluing felt on card projects such as this. I have done extensive googling and have come up with mixed results. Can you give me suggestions!!

Thanks again for the inspiration. Your card ROCKS!!

    1. Thanks so much! I use my Nuvo glue, love the stuff! I die cut a regular piece of cardstock and the felt and it bonds wonderfully!

  3. I really loved this because in Montana the spring equinox is only a few days away, but snow will be here for a couple more months for sure.
