Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! I hope you are all at home safe!
This week Simon Says: Happy Birthday! The design team is featuring always amazing Simon Says Stamp Brand Exclusives and that's because it is the 11th Birthday of Simon Says Stamp! It isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!
As you may know, the Simon Says Stamp Store is accepting new orders, but have longer shipping times for the moment due to the coronavirus. With this in mind we have made the difficult decision to suspend the $50 voucher for this challenge.
We know that many people are staying safe at home and we would love it if you would continue to enter the challenges and have fun! We are all in this together!
I used the new Stencil Daisy and the CZ Designs Happy Birthday from the Simon Says Stamp Lucky to Know You release. I masked and ink blended my panel using a mix of ink colors: Simon Says Stamp Fog Ink for the Daisy's, Hero Arts Butter Bar for the centres, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks for the leaves and finally Abandoned Coral for the accent dots.
I applied Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste on top of the entire stencil and set it aside to dry. I die cut the sentiment from both black cardstock and Simon Says Stamp pink glitter paper. Offset them slightly and glued them together.
Once the paste was dry, I trimmed down my panel to have a clean white border and then added the sentiment to the top of the panel. I felt there was enough "glitter" so I opted out of adding my traditional bling!
