Anchors Away!

Happy Monday crafty friends! I haven't been positing or crafting as much as I would like. My day job has been crazy during this pandemic even though I am working from home and staying safe. I work in education and my Association represents all English school boards across the province of Québec. Some of you may know that Québec and particularly Montreal is the epicentre of the Covid-19 pandemic in Canada and my province has decided to open schools before anyone else in the country.  So, I have not had much time to myself let alone craft. I am hoping to change that because I need the mental health break that crafting offers me.

So my card today is nautical, I rarely do nautical. I think I am so anxious for summer and to be able to get back to normal life that it inspired me to create based on a fun summer activity and maybe I am anxious to celebrate the eradication of this insidious virus (as all of you are as well)!

I started by stamping my lines from the Honey Bee Background Builder stamp set in multiple blues and die cut my panel using my trusty Wonky Stitched Rectangle die by Avery Elle.

I die cut my Simon Says Stamp Anchor die using some Tonic flat silver cardstock and fun foam for dimension.  I added some red and white twine to the top of the anchor and glued everything to my panel.

I stamped my let's celebrate sentiment on Simon Says Stamp School House Red and white embossed it. I used foam tape to add it to my panel. I finished off with a few of these fun silver bubbles by Spellbinder.
