I am obsessed with Simon Says Stamp text backgrounds. I find they are so fun to work with, Nicol Spohr has a bunch of videos that feature text backgrounds and how to incorporate them in your designs. This one was fun to put together using white florals to lay focus on the background stamp. I also love the mix of navy and light teal together and, of course, my favourite friend die.
I kept up with my navy and teal mix for this one, I die cut from both coloured card stock. I glued my navy to the card base and added my bird using a mix of foam tape for dimension and glue for the head of the bird. I then coloured the other elements using my COPIC markers. I finished off with some lavender clear drops. I didn't add a sentiment, I will pick one when I send the card.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! Loving the new SSS release! Great job on your cards!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are beautiful Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards. Love the background stamp
ReplyDeleteVery creative.
ReplyDeleteI love a good text background stamp and this new "Nature in Bloom" is definitely a GREAT one. Starting with a fantastic background can help pull a card together quicker and easier. Almost as much as a good background stamp for me is a wafer die panel can be used as a mosaic art piece. The plus is how easy it is to make multiples once all the die cutting is done. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with that top card! The clean look of it really grabs my attention. I'm inspired to pull out my text background stamps and play!
ReplyDeleteLovely cards!
ReplyDeleteThe bird and flowers are especially wonderful. I love the simplicity.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, especially the inlay card! One of my favorite kind of dies to use!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors you used, the first one really pops!

Both of your cards a sweet. The mix of inlay and copic coloring makes a good combination. And that background stamp is very versatile. So many ideas for using it, especially with all those new techniques I've been learning.
ReplyDeleteLove your inlay card!
