Out of This World Monday!

Happy Monday crafty friends! Kim With you this morning, can you believe it is already and at the same time finally April! My project today features the fantastic Out of this World stamps and dies by Lawn Fawn! All of these products are available in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink shop!

I don't know about you but when a set is released that is perfect for masculine/boy cards I jump on it! I have 7 nephews and I find masculine cards daunting! So I had to have this one.

I started by stamping all of my images using my Misti Stamp Tool to double stamp for crisp black images.  I Copic coloured my images and I googled actual pictures of the planets to give a realistic color palette.

I then pulled out all the border and background dies I wanted to use. I started by die cutting both navy cardstock and Neena Solar White (80 lbs) with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frames. I then took the inside white piece and die cut it again using the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders to act like a moon. I then took the navy inside piece and die cut it with the Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrop die for my sky. I sprayed the navy piece with white and shimmer spray to add texture and a galaxy effect.

I put the background elements together and then die cut my images. I glued all of my elements to the base and added some glossy accents to the space ship, the Saturn ring and the helmet. I added some shading to the Moon with my Copics and that was it!

Go on to the shop if you are interested in any of these products and if they are out of stock simply select the put me on the waiting list option. Vanessa re-stocks very quickly!

Have a great week!

Lawn Fawn Friendship Valentine

Had such fun with this card! I love Lawn Fawn birds!

I started by die-cutting a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper with a Fancy Scalloped Rectangle and used Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Candied Apple Distress Inks. I then spray the panel with my Distress Sprayer and dabbed off the water to get the splotchy effect. I then stamped all of my images using my Misti for the best impression by stamping multiple times.  I used my Copics to color in all of my images in reds, pinks and greys (to give a shading effect to my "white"). I then die cut my mailbox from Lawn Fawn Narwal paper and shaded the elements with the matching ink I also die cut the heart from the Tiny Tags with Guava paper and shaded it with Candied Apple Ink after white embossing my sentiment.

I then die cut another panel and used a Simple Stitched Hillside Border. I put me elements together and put the card together.  Then added Lawn Trimmings to secure my Heart Tag.

Thanks for taking the time!

Needed a summer-like project!

I don't know about you, but I am not a fan if winter.  I don't know why I still live in Montreal in the winter months.  It hasn't been too cold or successive snow storms but we have had a mixed bag of precipitation which is frustrating.  So, I needed to be on a beach! What better than a fun beach scene featuring Lawn Fawn!

I used Octopi my Heart, Mermaid for You (rock and sentiment) stamp sets and the tree is from Critters from the Past.  I Copic coloured the images then used the coordinating dies.  For my background I die cut a Neena Solar White panel with the largest of the smaller Dotted Squares. I then used the Stitched Hillside Borders and the Spring Showers cloud dies to cut masks.  I used a mix of Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks for the water and only Tumbled Glass for the sky/clouds. I then die cut another square and used one of the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders for my "beach" then used a mix of Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks. I added some dot detail with the Gathered Twigs and Ground Espresso Distress Markers along with my White Gellyroller.

I stamped my sentiment with mix of Lawn Fawn Pink Flamingo Ink and Versafine Onyx Black. I then put the card together and added some sequins.

Thanks for taking the time!

More Lawn Fawn Christmas scenes!

I seem to be getting my Christmas on lately with the newest Lawn Fawn release! Again, I am a sucker for critters!

For this one I started with a piece of watercolour cardstock and die cut it with the Snowy Backdrop die (released last year) with a mix of Salty Ocean, Weathered Wood and Faded Jeans Distress Inks. I sprayed the panel with my Distress Sprayer and reapplied for more texture. I then decided to die cut a piece of vellum to mute the colour just slightly.  I stamped my images from the Lawn Fawn Cheery Christmas (using my Misti to double stamp for crisper lines) and coloured them with my Copics. I used my Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders for the snow. I love these little critters but I must say the squirrels are my absolute favourites!

Thanks for taking the time!

Lawn Fawn Easter Project!

Happy Saturday! Weather is starting to clear, the sun is out and I have high hopes for an early Spring!  We have a March Easter this year so I have begun my projects.  This one features all Lawn Fawn products :)

I started by die cutting a Neena Solar White panel with the largest of the Stitched Rectangle dies I used Mama Elephant Pigment Inks (Buttercup, Piggy Bank and Lollipop) I picked these inks because they matched the Nicole Lawn Fawn plaid paper accent.  I die cut a second piece of Neena the same as  the first and die cut the cloud and the grass (Meadow Border). I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover Distress inks for the grass.  I also die cut the butterflies and tulips from the Meadow Borders set and used the same pigment inks on them.  The eggs are from the new Chirpy, Chirp, Chirp set and the bunny and sentiment are from Eggstra Special Easter set. I topped everything off with PPP sequins!

Thanks so much for taking the time!
