More Coffee Please!

Happy Friday crafty Friends! Time for another fun challenge over at the CAS-ual Friday's challenge blog!

The challenge is all about coffee! Have you seen Michelle's newest release - all coffee themed! I couldn't get enough of the new To Go Cup die! I decided on gift tags for my project, I mean it's the perfect size.

I decided on three different sentiments from the Hot Coffee set and I white embossed them on vellum to go over the Glitter "sleeve". Wouldn't a glitter sleeve be fun a Starbucks! Lol.

These sentiments are among my favorites. I mean the Sir Mix A lot Baby Got Back  play on words with the I like Big Cups and I Cannot Lie! Love it. I had such fun making these and most of the people in my life are coffee addicts!

To put them together, I die cut the top from pattern paper and the backs from white card stock. I sandwiched the twine in between and glued two tops back to back (shaded with grey Copic markers). I wrapped my vellum over the glitter and used foam tape to attach the glitter to the base. This was a quick and easy project and I love the way they turned out.

CFC186 - Anything but a Card!

Happy Friday crafty friends! I love Friday's especially when it's time for a new CAS-ual Friday's Challenge!
This week it's anything but a Card!

I decided on a tag for my project featuring the beautiful Mistletoe from the Mistletoe and Holly stamp set! I just love this image. I felt like trying my new Windsor and Newton Gouache (inspired by the new Holiday Online Card Class). The joy of Gouache is that is paints beautifully on dark card stock!

I chose a navy blue to make a nice masculine tag. I gold embossed my Mistletoe and sentiment also from CAS-ual Friday's on the base of my tag. I used two different red colors for the bow, a mix of greens for the leaves and I finished by adding Liquid Pearls on my berries.  I was going to make a shaker tag but I felt that it would take away from the Mistletoe so I just added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins.

A simple project but I love the depth of the Gouache :) To finish off the tag I added some red and white twine.

MFT - Miss You

Quiet holiday here in Quebec! Feels good to have the first of two long-weekends! Spent the morning organizing my craft room/office and I finished off this card featuring My Favorite Things products.

I finally received my backorder die-cuts from MFT for the Snuggle Bunnies set, I just love this set. While I was at my local craft store Scrapbook Centrale I also picked up the MFT Peek-a-Boo Wonky Window dies and the Written in Watercolor sentiments.  I offset and stamped the Miss You twice, once in Versafine Black then clear embossed and repeated again with VersaMark and clear embossed. I saw Jennifer McGuire do this in a video and I simply love the effect it gives. I then used Shaded Lilac and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks on my smaller inside panel then sprayed with my Distress Sprayer. The Paper is Neena 80lbs so the droplet effect is more subtle then on watercolour paper. I took the same distress colours and used the Diagonal Stripe stencil also by MFT for the larger top Neena panel. I the created my shaker and added a mix of Black, Violet and Turquoise splotches on the top left of the card.  I stamped and Copic coloured my bunny and placed him on top of the shaker.  Finished off with a mix of sequins and some twine!

Thanks for taking the time!
Have a great weekend!
