Simon Says: Use Your Favourite Tool

Hello crafty friends! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

But First...

Time for the annual Simon Says Stamp Kid’s Summer Vacation Challenge where we host a special challenge dedicated to our young designers!

Anything Goes With Sparkle and/or Shine

It is time for all you crafters to let your children loose in your crafty corners for a few hours. Just close your eyes and set them free to explore their creativity. Adults are allowed to help just a little bit if necessary, but we really want the children to ‘DO IT’ themselves as much as possible.

The Design Team all love this challenge and are ready and waiting to pop over to your blog to see your creations!

This challenge is open to all children aged between 2 and 16 inclusive

We have not 1, not 2 but  3 surprise parcels of crafty goodies, hand picked by Simon. All winners are chosen at random, Good Luck to all!

Now for this weeks Wednesday challenge!

This week Simon Says: Use Your Favorite Tool! We are featuring always amazing Tim Holtz products it isn't a requirement to use them but if you have them we would love to see them!

Come join in on the fun, you have the chance of winning a $25 gift card to the fantastic Simon Says Stamp store!

Like many of you, I have been enjoying these slimline cards :)  I started by using my Tim Holtz trimmer to cut my panel and card base to size. I then ink blended my Rainbow Distress Inks using at the Shifter Burst Layering Stencil by Tim Holtz.

I put it aside to dry and die cut the balloons from my stash with a variety of Lawn Fawn, Simon Says Stamp and Tonic Specialty Paper.

Once the panel was dry, I stamped my Studio Katia sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and added Some Translucent Pearl Embossing Powder by Altenew.

I placed all of my balloons on the top of the panel using a mix of foam tape and glue and added a variety of twine.

I added a secondary sentiment from the same Studio Katia stamp set using some Antique Gold embossing powder.  To finish off some of my favourite Icy Crystals jewels :)
