Lawn Fawnatics - Happy Little Critters!

Happy Friday crafty friends! I haven't participated in a challenge in a while, so I decided I absolutely needed to play along with the Happy Little Critters Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! I mean, who doesn't love a Critter challenge!

I had such fun making this winter birthday scene! I chose the Sweet Critter Concert set because I love it and I have not had the chance to ink it up yet, eek! I stamped all of the Critter images and accessories on a piece of Neena 80lbs cardstock and colored them in with a series of Copic Sketch markers.  I used the accompanying dies and set them aside to work on my background.

I took a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock cut to A2 size and Ink blended Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet Distress Ink on the panel once that was complete I took my favourite Simon Says Stamp Star background stencil and I wanted gold embossing paste by alas, mine had dried out. So I took my clear glitter embossing paste and added some Distress Paint to it to make my own, I am super happy with the result.

I put that aside to dry and die cut my Birch Trees from the Lawn Fawn White Woodgrain cardstock and added some Hickory Smoke Distress Ink to give shading and dimension. I also die cut a piece of the Lawn Fawn glitter paper with the largest Stitched Rectangle Die (as was the background panel) and die cut either side with the opposing Stitched Hillside Border dies.

Once my background had dried I embossed my sentiment on the background panel and glued my trees. I added my "snow banks" and finally placed my critters on the panel. To finish off, I added my music notes to the scene! Go check out the fun challenge!

Birthday Snow Buddies

Happy Monday crafty friends. Sharing a fun birthday card featuring the Ready, Set, Snow stamp set by My Favorite Things!

These critters are the sweetest! I started by stamping and coloring my images with my Copics and used the accompanying dies.  I wanted to use the three of them on this card so I die cut my Neena panel with the largest Lawn Fawn Stitched rectangle (A2 size).

I then took my MFT Hills and Drifts Stencil and some Salty Ocean Distress Ink and ink blended my slopes about 3/4 of the panel. I then used some Tumbled Glass Oxide Ink for the sky and added some snow using my Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Stencil and some glitter paste for a light snow effect.

I decided on this fantastic Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday die so I die cut it from Tonic Specialty Mirror card stock. I also die cut the bottom of the panel so I could inlay the die.

I added my images to the panel using foam tape and added some gel pen detail on the eyes and the accessories.

This was a fun one to put together!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 25 - Color Inspiration :)

Happy Monday! I think all crafters can relate to the inspiration of everything rainbow! The Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog turns one and the inspiration for the challenge is color inspiration!

I was lucky enough to take a class taught by Jenn Shurkus over the weekend at my local scrapbook store - Scrapbook Centrale aka my happy place! I can see why she decided to start teaching full-time, she is gracious and patient and really takes the time with her participants. I have recently begun teaching myself and I am so happy I went, you learn from someone like her - her personality and passion are infectious!

So for my card, if any of you follow this blog you will undoubtably expect me to do a rainbow theme! LOL

Not only did I go rainbow I went with wonky Fro-Yo! I just felt like having fun with this project. What better than pile of rainbow frozen yogurt from the Sweet Friends stamp set. I stamped my first image on the top and re-stamped it on a sticky PostIt note and fussy cut my mask. I place it on top of the first and continued down, I did need to cut a second mask but not the whole image just the cup.

Once I was done I used my Copics to color the images. I then chose one of the fantastic Really Rainbow Petite 6x6 papers for the background and die cut that using my largest Stitched Rectangle die.  I cut down my A2 size panel with the frozen yogurt and decided to add a little detail by using one of the stitched border dies. I then added "sprinkles" to the frozen yogurt using my white Gellyroll pen. I put my card together and stamped the sentiment also from the Sweet Friends stamp set on Lawn Fawn black card stock and white embossed it. The sequins are new from Studio Katia and they have a really pretty iridescent finish to them.

Go check out the challenge, they always have super fun themes.
Thanks for taking the time,

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #13 - Fall Inspirational Board

Hope you are all having a happy Wednesday! Last day of a heat wave here in Montreal, I love this on-going summer though!

I made this project for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #13 - Fall Inspirational Board :)

As much as I love this late summer weather, fall is my favourite season. There is something about the air and colors in fall that make me happy :)

The Lawn Fawn Paper from Perfectly Plaid Fall 6x6 pack was my inspiration for this project. I die cut it and the wood grain card stock from the largest Stitched Rectangle die. I love the pairing of these two papers. I then die cut my Stitched Leaves in orange, yellow, green and light brown card stock and added some various Distress Inks to add dimension.

I then picked my sentiment from the Jump for Joy set and white embossed it on the top panel. I placed my leaves and felt that a little something to top them off would be ideal so I picked the acorn from the Into the Woods set and used my Copic Sketch markers to color him in.

Once all of my elements were placed on the card, I added a mix of Nuvo drops and Sparkling Clear Sequins to finish off the project.

Thanks so much for taking the time and if this mood board inspires you go check-out the challenge :)

Lawnfawnatics Challenge #7

Long-weekend here in Quebec, gave me some much needed downtime and I finally had time to play in my craft room.  Had so much fun with this one for the current Lawnfawnatics Challenge #7 Watercolor.

What's better then a rainbow except maybe rainbow pineapples :) Had such fun with this design. I gold embossed the pineapples and used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers for both the pineapples and the background.  I used the new Aloha stamp set for this one.

I also used the lawn Fawn stitched border dies for my white panel. The stitching worked well with the design on the pineapples and the back panel was die cut using the largest Stitched rectangle die.

If you are a fan of Lawn Fawn like I am, you should check-out the challenge.
Thanks for taking the time!

Lawnfawnatics Challenge #4

Happy Thursday! I have been so busy at the office, many changes have increased my workload and unfortunately I have been a little absent from my crafty time!

I had time to play to unwind and I made this card to enter into the Lawnfawnatics Challenge #4 - Black/White and Bright.

For brights I thought what better then the Fab Flowers stamps and dies by Lawn Fawn! I started by stamping those with some bright die inks then pulled out my favourite black and white stripped pattern paper.  I then decided to die cut a half circle and lay my flowers around the side.

I white heat embossed my sentiment on Lawn Fawn Black card stock and added some of the pattern paper and some pink as well.  Finished it off with some Pretty Pink Posh clear drops and some Nuvo Drops in the centre of the flowers.

Thanks so much for taking the time!

Cat Birthday Card!

Quick post today! I have a tradition of making birthday cards for my family from my pets. I have two fantastic dogs and one crazy cat.  It was my husband's 40th birthday this week and the family cat is really attached to him. Dogs to me and he has a cat! lol

This stamp is from a company that is new to me Dare 2B Artzy. I picked it up because the cat made me think of our cat Tigrou (French for Tigger).  I colored him like my Tiggy!  The stamp set is called Purrfect Day. The border die is by My Favorite Things... Love this set of border dies and I want to pick up the new die-namics set like this in different shapes.  The silver glitter paper is also by MFT the hearts are by Lawn Fawn. Have a great day, finally Friday!!

Thanks for taking the time!

Lawn Fawn meets Disney - Tinkerbell and Ariel

I had such fun with this card, I channeled my inner seven year-old!  Lawn Fawn could seriously develop a series of Disney type princesses!! I was looking at the Fairies and the Mermaids then thought why not have Tinkerbell meet Ariel (and Sebastian but the sequins kind of hide him)!

I die cut two Lawn Fawn stitched circles using Canson watercolor paper. For Tinkerbell"s circle I used  Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks and for Ariel's I used Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers and a touch of Salty Ocean, after blending the inks I used my Distress Sprayer for texture. I stamped all of my images using my Misti to stamp them all at once on Neena 80lbs to color with my Copics. I then decided to emboss the top panel with an older Cuttlebug embossing folder that has leaves I found it lent to the mystical fairytale feel :)  I then used my Misiti again as I forgot to emboss my sentiment first and used a mix of Wow and Ranger embossing powers that matched the colors in both circles.  This one was really fun to make!

Ok, I used multiple Lawn Fawn stamp sets here is the list:

Mermaid for You
Fairy Friends
Stinkin Cute (flower)
Fantastic Friends (fishy)
Gleeful Gardens (mushroom)
Life is Good (Sebastian)

Thanks for taking the time!
